Busines III costs 24 skill points (15 for Novice, 2 for Business I, 3 for Business II, 4 for Businss III)

Well, sort of. How many people have anything to sell without already having artisan. Even if you're a doc, I'd think you'd want artisan and surveying to get resources. I'd guess the number of people who want a vendor to sell things, but don't otherwise have artisan is fairly low.

Bio Engineer comes to mind. Doctors don't have to have survey to get resources and many I know don't. They either buy resources or they have other people supplying them with waypoints for harvesting.

Regardless WORST case is 24 points. For most crafteres its 9 points above what they already have to have to make their items.

One thing, though.. merchant isn't quite like the other professions. I've mastered 18, going on 20 professions including merchant and merchant was definitely one of the most... unusual professions I've been through. A lot of people can think of any excuse they want to justify keeping a vendor after dropping merchant skills. Aside from them advertising droids, vendors are all that a merchant has. Would it be fair to give master (insert any other profession here) skills to everyone once they master and drop the profession? At least on that question, most people would probably respond "no". It's just one of those instances where you can't have your cake and eat it, too.

Stop vendor "poaching"! Shave the whales!

Don't be too proud of this Jedi Knight you've constructed. The ability to destroy a n00b is insignificant next to the power of the nerf bat.

SOE - We nerf more professions before 7am than most companies nerf all day.
