We really need to have this rule clarified. Any vendor with items still listed for sale should not be deleted if the maintenance is paid on it. Period. Empty vendors being delete is fine, full vendors being deleted is not.

I find it surprising and incredibly annoying that they have not even bothered to clarify this for us. You'd think it'd be a simple matter to do so. Perhaps it's a deeply buried mystery that the programmers have sworn to take to their graves.

If all it needs is maintenance and a visit now and again during 2 weeks, that's fine. But I maintain my vendors almost daily and still received the dreaded email notice thatone hadn't been visited lately. The only thing I can figure is that the particular vendor hadn't made a *sale* in a while. If that's the case, how do you work around THAT if you go away for 2 weeks? (I have high-end specialty items on that vendor so I don't expect regular sales.)
We definitely need clarification here!

I'm in the process of pulling all mine down as well. They still won't clarify it. I have to leave on my second annual training on Sept 15th. Our last one lasted 17 days. I got around the last one, by relisting everything the night before I left.
Uhm, has anyone heard any bitching from players in general about having torifle throughfull vendors?? I'm sure that's a major issue
Deleteing empty vendors makes sense ( so don't put too much maint in one, or you'll lose the extra cash). But full ones??
Oh, and as for telling us to *find someone we trust INGAME to log onto our accounts* UHM NO. Aside from leaving yourself open to getting scammed ( plenty of stories about knowing someone ingame a few months, then they take everything in the guildhall), you also have the EULA to consider. Sharing your info and letting someone else use your accountis against the EULA.

I agree with others that the two weeks should not start until after the 30 days for sale + 30 days in stockroom time passes.
If the vendor isn't "touched" in that 60 days + TWO WEEKS, then perhaps delete it.
BUT...
Any Maintenance on the vendor should be automatically deposited into the bank account of the owner, along with an email to the owner showing how much was retrieved and deposited.
Thus, only the vendor itself + any clothing would be lost.
That's the minimum I could live with and not complain about it here on the forums.
Anything less is not reasonable or fair, IMO.
Cheers,

Where in my post did I say give your password to someone you don't know? I never said that. I said I had a friend log on and check mine. I never said I gave my friend my password. I simply had him check them. This was before the revamp, so I asked him if it got low to simply put up a temp vendor for me with items. However, since the revamp, there are still ways around it. Have people go and click your vendor since they are saying an untouched vendor gets deleted. Have a family member log on and check it for you, etc.. But no, don't give your password to someone you don't know, that is just crazy.
