It's not a matter of the correspondent list.

The bugs with vendors have been known since Beta3, in detail, and we've been told by Q that they are the number 1 priority after stability matters. The CSRs have told me the same.

So if they're not on the list, it means they're very hard to fix for some reason. I don't think it would hurt the devs to say so explicitly, but their ideas about what constitutes fair and honest communication and my ideas appear to be different.

I suspect I know why they're hard to fix: it's because there's something deeply flawed about SWG's databases and the way they communicate with the game engine, and vendors are at the heart of that. Ok. I can accept that. I can accept that figuring it out is going to take time.

I'd just like to hear them say it. And maybe start figuring out what else to give the Merchant profession to make it something other than completely pointless.

For a complete list of the upcoming update notes for Test Center, please go to the In Development page. These changes should go on Test Center in the next couple of days and then go to live galaxies after a week or two of testing. Please also read my post about priorities before giving feedback. Thanks.

Fixed an exploit where you could steal things from vendors
Fixed the max sale price on vendors being the same as the bazaar.
You now have to select "init vendor" from the vendor options after you place your vendor to activate it.

"Fixed the max sale price on vendors being the same as the bazaar"

Uhh wait.. Does this mean you can't sell anything on a vendor for more than 3,000 credits? Or am I confused? That sounds horrible.

I think there were certain cases where venders were bugged, and they could only charge 3000.

This is a fix to that not a merchant nerf as I read it.

"Fixed the max sale price on vendors being the same as the bazaar."

Please tell me this means that currently, in some cases some vendor were not able to sell over 3K.

If it means that ALL vendors will no longer be able to sell over 3K, ummm, unfix it please.

I'm wondeirng the same thing.. if thats the case theres no point in me even having the vendor class cause I will have to sell everything by hand by a bank like we used to..

And I know you cant expect us to be selling houses for 3K.. when it takes over 30K resorces to make. Whats goign on with that>

The benifit of having a Vendor is being able to charge whatever you want without using the Bazaar system. Most people do not use the bazaar system cause of teh 3K max limit. Imposing that on vendors Your making it so I have to meet each customer and sell my goods that way.

Plus when did word of mouth advertising get changed to Decreased plantary ad cost?

whens advertsing 2 getting fixed? preimum auctions being fixed?

I hope that I am misunderstand this comment. If I can't put my houses on my vendor, I will drop merchant and probably architect also even though I am a master architect.

Well...

Merchants didn't get a very good look in here did they *sigh*

I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that the fixes were either too difficult to track down and change for this patch..

However there will be one mightily annoyed (and quitting the profession) Merchant if the *majority* - and by that I mean our top five correspondent issues dont get fixed by the time the next update comes out...

And I'm hoping the majority of the other issues will be dealt with as hot-fixes.. SOON...

Way to go SOE. The player based economy is being whacked in the back of its head and brought to its knees. If other players can't reliably use Vendors they won't be used very often. I have had every customer in my shop on Bloodfin for the last 4 days, have severe difficulty or is outright unable to retrieve the items they have bought.

You want to know what the reply to my ticket was?

Go have someone print it up for you. You should see how "Customer Relations" is implemented. The QA on your CSRs is lacking. Take away their copy/paste commands from them.

Did any of the developers know that sometimes my Vendor just won't work at all? The interface screen won't load. That little bug is great for encouraging players to participate in the full economy.

First - Thanks for all the fixes that have been done up to date.

Second - Thanks for changing the way MXP is earnt (to make it quicker)

Third - Can we please, please, please, please Have our MAJOR Bugs (as advised by our correspondent) fixed - or at the very least a work around implimented if the bug is too major to stamp out right away, fixed by the time the next update comes around (in approx 1 month)

Thanks.

THAT was it?????????

Dozens and dozens of posts about the critical flaws in the merchant skill tree, and those three items are the bone we get thrown for in development? Of the twenty top issues for merchants (not things we wish for, stuff that is just broken) not one of them is addressed?

This is a nice steaming pile to put on our plates. Thanks, devs.
