Thread: How many crafters have even bothered to do any work with your vendors since this all started?

I've been fully stocking vendors with everything I can make so that I'm prepared for the nerf.
I don't want to start off trying to keep my vendors at 110 items each, so I'm uberstocking and waiting until my item count drops below 110. Then I'll decide whether or not to drop merchant and move to the bazaar.
You are the only other merchant I've heard that they are attempting to overstock. I, too, am wanting to have so much overflow on my vendors that when I can not smoosh any more on, I'll still have a large selection for a little while. When they put in the cap they wont be making all the items currently on the vendors poof. You just wont be able to add more. I think they are low-balling us, but even a 300 cap is crippling to those of us who get a lot of volume in a high traffic mall. I have a merchant alt (people have asked why I bother when you can just drop the points and still use them, but I knew it was wrong and eventually changes would come so I'd be ready) and have 1 vendor in the most popular mall on my server, 4 vendors near my factories and 1 for storage. I have to use a vendor for storage. I wouldn't even be able to house my harvesters in one house, let alone all of the resources I have stocked. I'd almost have to put a price list on my mall vendor and direct them to my 4 other vendors on a completely different planet because there is no more room in this mall to put more vendors in it if this change went through as is. It is full.
A side note though, I am bothered by the accusations I've read in various threads about how "successful" merchants who try to monopolize skill attachments and such. I didn't start out successful, and still feel there is much room for me to grow, but I've been accused of terrible things such as buying out resources so the little guys can't have any. So if I'm the big bad meanie, I must be successful enough to warrant an attack. There was a long progression to reach where I am. I started my business because I couldn't find what I wanted, so went looking to meet that void. Since then there have been many other medical suppliers. I don't mind the company. And I don't hoard attachments. Actually, I sold a +12 med exp tape in a public auction because my suit is maxed out. What good does holding on to it do? So it really bugs me to hear accusations that all 12 point master merchants hoard that crap. It is not true. I don't even think I've ever seen that done on my server. So I, and thousands of other crafters, who have dedicated their real life time to supply others with their needs are now being chopped off at the knees because of some jerks I've never met? Ya know, I do give a heck of a lot of time and pride into this virtual business because I don't have that sense in real life. I've got a hum drum life as a student and concierge. No wheeling and dealing. The satisfaction I get is when a professor really takes a shine to an assignment I've completed. But in game I can have satisfaction that I'm a part of a community on a daily basis. And don't tell me to get a life because I'm doing what I can and going about in the direction I feel is best for me.
But the plan is, make my voice known until either A) they limits are changed to a reasonable point or B) the patch goes live with limits that are redicuouly low.
If 'A' happens, I go on playing. If 'B' happens, I cancel my account, stock up what I can while my account is still active (and I just changed back to 3 month biling too
