Thread: Another chunk of ugly was created in your backpack.

our profession problems is kinda sad. Do you guys realize we are one of the only profession that has not been changed since launch? Only change we got were exterior changes like barkers and tents. Other than that, those two have no impact on what we do as merchants vendor wise, we have had no changes and our so called Merchant Revamp is being treated as the dev's **edit** child. Sigh.
But, we get to see the necklaces now!!!! Wasn't that worth waiting over a year for???? Of course, none of my customers realize that they can see the necklaces, so they never look at them, and so never buy them . . .
I spent more than four hours on Saturday, creating and deleting what had to be hundreds of vendors until I was finally able to come up with five young, slim, and relatively decent looking female twi'leks. It's a good thing I'm not that picky, or I'd still be clicking "Destroy."

Definitely would think with maxed "hiring" we should have contorl over basic features of the vendor. I'm not sure I like the simulated 'hiring' process by "interviewing" (creating) hundreds of candidates until you find the right one. That's not exactly song and dance!
Exactly! Give the merchant control over 'basic features' of the vendor when you are on top of hiring/customization, makes sense if nothing else. And if you want a more 'special' appearance you'd have to hire an Image Designer to do the job.
It would be welcomed by both us and the Image Designers I am sure (especially us).

if its like too complex or something for them to code a usable system to select & customize vendors, then they should atleast give us a box somewhat like the original charecter creation screen to rapidly sort thru the randomly generated vendors. You know, a picture of how ugly its going to be, so we can accept or deny immediately, rather than having to go thru the whole damned creation process upfront, naming and all.
Hey, that's a good idea. Just choose Gender, Race, give it a name and just keep clicking "Next Choice" until a good one appears. That should be TOO hard to implement.
Talk to tailors, and armorsmiths you know. get their "rejects"
When I set up vendors I just make sure they aren't half the size of my merchant tent. if they are ugly, easy fix
Comp Helmet, or Ubese Helmet. headwrap. padded armor. cheap tusken stuff or old 1/1 clothing that people don't want.
Since my alt is a weaponsmith, I get my hands on 1/1 condition guns from time to time, and those make cheap items to help dress up vendors.
Well... the highlighted sentance above is to me the same as "ugly" to be honest. And even if you do put a headwrap and a full body robe on your ugly vendor it doesn't make the vendor prettier in my opinion.

My alt is master merchant, and I've found one way to cut down on how long it takes me to get a good vendor.
