It isn't Barney that's obscene in the above examples... it's the word 'the'. Anything with the won't get through the filter.

Yeah, it's not that they're obscene it's that they don't meet whatever the heck the parameters are for the filter.

I asked about this on the Corre board, and I (paraphrasing) was told that the filter is not in the control of the developers. It was a filter that was put in place by Lucas Arts. The filter is universal, SWG wanted one specificly for vendors (So that we could name stuff) but LA said NO.

So there it is, we will have to learn to live with it.

I'd just like to be able to use hex colors in my vendor names, which I can't do.

"Wookie" however is not obscene. I have a vendor named "Wookie Fashions" who works just fine, aside from lookinga little illiterate.

Same goes for me. Try making your vendors without punctuation, I've used several words that you have listed here, and they have worked.

As an example, if I put Weapons and More! it says obscene. However if I leave at the exclamation point and just put Weapons and More It works just fine.
