This would be a great thing IFit only returned waypoints and no price or product data.

If everyone can do their comparison shopping from a central location, this will mean that only the lowest priced merchants will see any traffic.

I agree that you should be able to determinewhich vendors have specifically what you're looking for, but you should still have to go to the vendor to look at it.

"A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky, dangerous animals and you know it."

I think it would be great if you could add descriptions to your vendors that would show up on maps...click on the vendor, get a wp and a description. I'm constantly changing what I have on some vendors, so they just have generic names.

Very much agree, any rating system such as this on Vendors would merly offer the 1 star trolls, another place to go.

I myself, have the odd "1 Star Forum Stalker" attached at my hip from time to time and i couldnt think of anything worse than giving them a chance to spam 1 star my vendors too

I dont think there should be a vendor rating system, but I love the idea about a search option. Type in what you want and it tells you what vendors have it.That would save so much time and end a lot of frustration and wild goose chases. What I hate just as much as empty vendors are vendorsnamed "furniture and deeds"and have only resources and loot on them.

A galactic search feature would equalize all vendor locations and remove that part of the strategy associated with being a Merchant.

How about if your vendors only showed up in the search tool if you already have advertising 3 to be on the planetary map, or even advertising 4 or master merchant so as to separate the skills?

As a mechant I love the vendor system. As a consumer I hate it with an undying passion. The hate mostly comes from traveling to dozens of vendor waypoints (from the planetary map)looking for common items and finding a whole lot of nothing. I am sure that the things I want are out there somewhere, but I will probably die of old age before I find them.

The situation with powerups (for example)got so bad (no one was making the kind I like) that I hired a guild member to make some schematics for meso I could make my own freaking powerups. I'm sure that someone, somewhere had the powerups that I was seeking. There was just no way for me to track them down.

That would have pretty much the same effect, just to a lesser extent. A search feature would be nice but there is a severe trade off and I just wanted to point that out.
