< One of the functions I like is the ability to select and retrieve multiple items from the stockroom at one time. If they took that and did the following:

Make a 'Resell Item' button which would resell the item with theoriginal description and price with one keyclick. Allow you to select multiple items and resell them ALL with one keyclick. Even better, a button next to it that said 'Resell ALL'. >

*That* would be fantastic. 5-stars.

I'm Merchant 3-0-0-0.

I think the current limit are a little too low, but I'm not pissed.

I am neither Master Merchant nor Business 3. I have 0-0-1-0 Merchant. Why? I only need 2 vendors to run my tailor shop. How? Because I can stock unlimited items. One vendor for Clothing. Another vendor for components and loot.

I'm in the same position. It's scary how many people with Master Merchant are kinda smug about this proposed change and rather than opposing it, have already settled down with the correspondents in discussing to what extent they're willing to bend over.

I see a lot of MMs throwing up their own tables. The lower end looks a lot like the one the devs suggested but towards the top, there's the usual 3x-6x modifications. Smacks a lot of "I'm-alright-Jack", if you ask me.

When I chose my career route (artisan/architect/tailor), I never knew that having just two vendors for my stock would make me a bad, bad man. Nothing in game pointed out that despite being completely capable of handling all the stock I could produce, I should have instead followed the merchant route, have six lots of maintenance to pay, find space for six vendors and then still not hold a fraction of all the different items that my customers would like to see.

One thing is certain though. If there is going to be a cap, I would like to know what it is now rather than having the devs 'hum' and 'arr' at it for a few months. I don't feel like paying them money and setting up a vendor that'll eventually be ruined while waiting for the hammer to fall. None of this 'postponing it for review' or 'reworking the numbers'. Just tell us what you always intended to set it at...

I am a Master Merchant and am certainly not impressed with the proposed item cap.

Between my two characters I am a Master Merchant, Master Artisan and Master Weaponsmith. My plan was to also bring Master ShipWrigt into the mix with JtL. THis Item cap is going to kill me. I regularly keep 500 items each on my Pistol Vendor and Melee Weapon Vendor. I am also support the primary vendors for my guild (resources, medical supplies, chef items). I probably keep 1600-2000 items on my 6 vendors at all times, and I restock at least 100 items a day.

This is going to kill my business, simply because of storage needs and will also make it necessary to scale back my production runs on items in the factories. This is ridiculous. Master Merchant should have no item cap...period. The problem has always been former merchants who are still running vendors without the requisite skills. I see no incentive for the Merchant profession with this change.

I'm all for the nerf. But not the rediculously small limit per vendor.

I'm not a merchant, and I could not afford to changeup my account to even get more than a couple boxes of merchant. The highest I'd go would be to just get Business IV. I have Business III at the moment. I've also been a Master Artisan and dabbled in Novice Merchant for a time. For the amount of items I currently sell, Merchant wouldn't be a path I'd take. But also in the same respect, for the amount that I sell - limiting it to anything under 300 items per vendor will kill my business. I restock twice a week. I'd rather not have to logon twice a DAY just to stock my vendors.

Also the people who can't at least pick back up Business III should not deserve to have vendors at all. Period.

Now that TH is proposing to dump all inactive accounts over 6 months of age on a regular basis, and the fact that empty vendors will be taken off the world map, I agree that the time limit as it is now might not be needed anymore.

I'm master merchant, master chef, artisan 4444. No combat skills at all - no room for them. I've never used a vendor for storage, neverexploited by dropping my merchant skills and keeping my vendors. And I am very upset by the proposed changes. Not the fact that you have to have business/merchant skills to have a vendor - this is as it should be, though they really need to improve the vendor interface to make it easier for a crafter to hire a merchant to run a vendor. But the item caps are just ridiculous.

I sell dozens of items a day, twice the volume on weekends. It takes 3 to 8 days to do all the steps necessary to make factory crates of food. I can make 12 to39 crates at a time depending on the recipe.Anytime I get below 5-10 crates of the less popular foods, or 30 crates of the hot sellers, it's time to start a new batch. All eight of my factories run pretty much constantly keeping up with the demand. I have more than 1200 items (singles, fives, and full crates) in stock at a time on my 3 vendors, and still run out of things sometimes.

Even if I quit running the 3 vendors I placed for other people, and took all of them for my own shop, I wouldn't have enough vendor space to operate my business. I'd constantly run out of things, and would have to log on several times a day to replenish stock. Not to mention that I'd have to be psychic and know exactly what is going to sell a week in advance so I know what foods to start making, since I won't be able to have a larger stock as a cushion. My business has been built on the reputation of always having what people need. That is no longer going to be possible.

So yeah, master merchants are upset about the changes too. What a colossal waste of 92 skill points.

I am a Master Merchant\Master Weaponsmith and I am looking forward to the changes.

++What I find very interesting is everyone who has been complaning about the Nerf supposedly has 500+ items oneach of thier vendors. Granted I have seen a few that have been stocked well, but 90% of the vendors I go to visit are empty or are full of junk. I am calling B.S. on a lot of people. I wish there was an astromech stat to show what the average # of items per vendor per server, because I believe with all of the empty vendors the average number would be more like 3 items per vendor.

WHo cares who is pissed. Star Wars Galaxies will change and adapt daily if it needs to, and right now it definately needs to. Will some legit people get screwed; unfortunately yes. Do I think the cap per vendor will be 150 items (or whatever) no. Will this merchant change get rid of 90% of the problems we have been bitching about; yes. To be honest even if the cap was as low as they originally said, it wouldnt bother me at all. I can deal with the changes because I havent been exploiting the system, nor have I ever loaded up my vendors with obsolete junk. I give away obsolete resources\weapons\armor to the noobs and only put up my best. People need to stop hoarding every little piece of junk they ever come across. Do some house\Vendor Cleaning.

BRING ON THE CHANGES AND CRUSH THE VENDOR EXPLOITERS!!!!!

You are perfectly welcome to come review my vendors. I am on Intrepid, just west of Mos Eisley. My vendors are in the West WIng of the MEC Guild Hall. I challenge you to find "junk" on my vendors.

Then you have been shopping at the wrong places or your server is in big big trouble...

AS for vendors being loaded with"junk", if I have 2k "junk" itmes on my vendor that no one wants or buys.... why would I keep them up? So every 30 days I can spend 2 hours re-offering the unwanted crap? Doubtful....what is "junk" to you is not to me. Dont start telling us what we should and shouldnt sell.. I do not base my items on your opinion of them...I base them on wherever or not its worth my time to bother listing them... if they dont sell....I dont bother.
