The tired old responses from the Merchant mafia .

Im going to keepvendors and barks, i earned them , i am not going to throw away all the time and resources i spent making the stuff to put on them , just because i dropped merchant.

Likewise i am not going to sell off my stuff cheap for 6000 each on the bazaar , just because the merchant mafia have a bugbear about it .

The system is not bugged , it works perfectly well for all who , master merchant and drop it .

Stop crying about this topic and find something more usefull to lobby about , say broken quests , or bugged schematics , you know the sort of in game stuff that really matters

Did I studder when I said that SOE has confirmed that this is an bug that is being exploited?

If you are not going to sell it at the bazaar, put some points into Buisness III, make your coke machine vendor, and stop crying that you "earned" the right to the scores ofgood vendors you are using illegally. That or else sell your products to merchants for resale. There is no God given right in the game that said that you have to sell your own product. You, my friend, are the one that is tiresome, Mafia boy.

Now that you mention it, I have maxxed my XP in crafting, pistol, and scouting XP. I spent a hell of a long time getting that XP, yet I don't have the skillpoints to gain the skills. Can I still get the skills for free anyways? Grow up!! Play with the rest of us and stop stealing skill points from the rest of us and contributing to the downfall of my profession.

Typical moronic reply from balkstar .

However nice to see someone inadvertantly mention what all the fuss is about .

Basically what this boils down to is that the so called elite profession Merchants ,like balkstar ,want to control the selling of products . Theres no way that i am going to restrict myself to selling my crafted items to a merchant who is simply going to mark them up and sell them on .

When i drop merchant i will keep my vendors , when i have sold all my stock , i will remove my vendors. I get to keep the profits from my sales .

Merchant mafia can got to hell !

LOL

I could give a rip about what you make, hiro, becuase I'm sure its not worth my, nor any other merchants time, to sell such worthless stuff.

As for having Master Merchants controling the economy of the game in terms of selling things. WELL GUESS WHAT GENIUS??!! Look up the definitions of the word merchant, then maybe you might learn something useful today. Learn something today that you should have learned in 6th grade!!

If you hadn't noticed, I gave 2 examples of how crafters can leagaly sell crafted items without having to sell to merchants, or sell in the bazaar:

1: Sell it on the roadside using very modest and inexpensivemeans without advertising and hope someone stops their car long enough to investigate your wares. (i.e. one Business tree vendor in your house.)

2: Sell it in a community location that is well known but again with meager means, say a Farmer's Market. The community spreads the cost of the market between them. (i.e. one buisness tree vendor in a well known mall, with only word of mouth for advertisement)

I have the support of SOE and 90% of the merchants on this board.

All you have is your crying and yourlittle Communist Manifesto word to go on.

Who do you think is going to win this argument?

who cares, all these professions are worthless and broken anyway, what does it matter to you what someone else does? does it affect what you sale? I doubt it. Is it right? no not saying that, but moaning at others will get you absolutely nowhere. Personally I use vendors as personal storage space, you gonna gripe at me too? 90 percent of the problems on this board and in this game can be solved with this simple practice.

Minding your own business and leaving others alone.

This whole argument has been beaten to death here.

I'm just looking forward to all the whiners coming out of the woodwork if SOE finally decides to fix this.

hehe I agree mhal. Im a 3-0-4-4 merchant and I dont exploit, but I wll get a huge kick out of what will happen when this is fixed. So many people are going to cry about being given no warning, losing their stuff, demanding compensation. And us merchants will just sit here chuckling because we've been saying it for months and months. While the exploit is there, people will abuse it and theres nothing we can do about it but sit in impotent rage while they get away with it. Whether the devs will fix it or not is up in the air and Im not going to bother arguing the point. No matter how passionate our arguments are, it will happen when it happens.

that is really a sad attitude....

chuckle all you want but it wont improve the game any, benefit merchants in any way and probabaly drive people to quit....

why you guys are so fixated on this nonsense is beyond me

the vendors are not important, it is what you are selling....

This whole issue has been beaten into the ground. SOE already said this will be fixed sometime down the road. If someone wants to quitbecause ofthat fact, guess what? I don't care.

If they choose to come here and complain and whine about it before hand, I will read their posts and laugh.

If you think that's a sad attitude, it doesn't matter to me in the slightest. I'd have to give a rats ass about what you think for your opinion to matter to me.

Do me a favor, one-star wonder. Check out this link, pay special attention to what the message is about, and then go to the very bottom of the thread and see what the nice man with the yellow admin name has to say about it.

Then come back and tell me the system is "as intended"

I just had a bit of input to stick in here for discussion. I've been around for a bit, but have not entertained myself much to the stuff that is written on these forums as I don't take much of it for being worth much.

My argument is that I'm a Master Combat Medic, which consumes 2/3 of my masters for that Character. Everyone who is complaining on here is an Elite Artisan Profession. You can have Droid eng/Architect etc, merch, and one combat profession..

If a Doctor/Combat Medic or any other hybrid/elite crafting profession not under the Artisan trees, how are they supposed to fit that into their template? Why should artisan elites/merchs get comb. prof and other main crafting professions like doctors/cm's not?

I as a Master Combat Medic have 2 times the skill points you do as a smith/droid eng etc invested in my crafting profession. What gives you more right to build and effeciently sell your product while retaining a comb prof for defense and not me?

Just food for thought. If it were up to me merchant should be gone through once than once you earned enough xp and mastered it you would retain all the skills up until you surrendered it, but would not lose any merchants placed.

As I'm reading all these posts on here about merchs complaining about customers sending them /tells while they are out fighting. Must be nice to be able to fit your chosen crafting profession in your template and still have comb prof to play with in your group.

this seems like a fairly pointless thread, the hard-core merchants are waiting for their "second-coming" day where they are the only ones that can have vendors. everyone else is passing them by and laughing at their stance. i'm sure this is a novel idea but why not fix the profession and actually make it useful to keep. how about asking the devs to have merchant characters have the ability to make as many vendors as possible, perhaps with some decay like the lamps, and sell them to characters that may want to sell items, but have no real desire to grind out the merchant profession? it seems that actually coming up with solutions is more productive than whining and acting like rule nazis' but hey this is all only my opinion. BTW, i have a master merchant on intrepid and am currently grinding it away on kauri, and when i give up the profession, i will be keeping my vendors.
