Then there was the time that I couldn't put a price on something I wanted to list, and figured my vendor was broken. It just wouldn't let me even click on the space where the price goes.
Finally figured out that you have to target an item first, then type in the price.

That happens to me at least once a week. Espeically when I am crafting and stocking merchandise at the same time because any item inserted into your inventory while you are in the for sale tab will deselect the current item. This results in me yelling at the interface until I realize that it deselected my item and isn't just lying about there being nothing selected to sell
I honestly don't recall ever having the orignial problem in this thread as I use the categories all the time, even on my own vendor, so I always click the category I wanna see. This pricing problem, however, I've run into on many the occation... especially in the manner that Doc describes it

Imagine this...
You empty and pull up a vendor laden to the brim with Millions upon Millions in resources. Then lay down new vendors so you can separate your stock more easily. it takes about an hour and a half to do this but finally you're done. everything is perfect! 4 vendors stocked and a great feeling of accomplishment follows.
You decide to run too your house to change gear and come back for one last look at your new setup. wait a minute.... somethings not right... one of your vendors is still named after the old vendor. you go and open it and see it empty. your heart skips a beat while you check the others and find them all empty and it isnt a refresh bug or a subcatagory issue. All your vendors are empty...
you stand back, take a deep breath, and think, "my business, along with about 30 million in resources, is ruined"
This horror story happened to me the day after the merchant revamp in october. The CSR's we very quick in their response to the ticket (15 minutes after post)and promised to find out what happened and rectify it. For the rest of the day i considered giving up SWG for something else or at least giving up merhcant and trying something else.
The happy ending here was everything corrected itself on server reboot.
I feel better now having shared this episode of my time on SWG.
Thank you,

Here's what happened to me once.
I had a decently stocked vendor that never saw much business. It had mostly Personal Shield Generators. No one bought them back then due to a bug that caused them tomigrate theirstats. Apon finding a great new location for a shop, I drop a building and createa new vendor. Then Itraveled back to the old vendor,Withdraw Sale for about60items and destroy the old vendor. I traveled back to the new vendor, initialize it and chose sell item, only to discover I neverwithdrew them from the old vendor's stockroom. I lost all of my PSGs! lol
Fortunately I had a schematic and made more.

Hopefully, part of the lesson learned is not to "pull all the alarms" or "raise all the flags" so quickly when something unexpected happens. I mean, a topic such as, "DocSavag, Please Help!! Gamebreaking Merchant Bug, and CSRs No Help." is a bit extreme even if there really was some bug.

I recently did the same thing as this except for one minor difference ...
I had put in two full travel packs on there for storage purposes. In one of the packs it had 50 Padded Rancor Segments I was going to have made into an awesome set of Padded armor, stats over 25% and higher on each and everyone of them. In the other bag I had a whole buttload of dot weapons that while not legendary or exception were actually pretty dang good. I was pretty well shattered as it took me ages and ages and thousands of dead rancors to get those segments as well as killing other things for the weapons.
