Hmmm...
If it's on live then I guess I've never been the actual owner of the building so I've never been able to do it before.
Fascinating.
Even on TC prime I was borrowing Doc's Retirement Villa and making a mess of the place. 
So I wonder if it's a bug that you can't do it if you're not the owner.

Nope, the Ownercantpick up uninitialised Vendors of other peoples. I have the radial Option (on terminal/droid vendors)but it simply does nothing, not even an error message. NPC Vendors dont have the option and trying to take them creates a permission error.
On a sidenote, i guess its known but i post it anyway:
Any adminof a structure can rotate all droid/terminal vendors inside.
Only the creator of a NPC Vendor can rotate his NPC Vendor.

I've made a vendor, put it down, picked it backed up (into my inventory), placed it down again, and initialized it with no problem... and that was a while ago.
I didn't know you guys didn't know, else I would've said something earlier

I've made a vendor, put it down, picked it backed up (into my inventory), placed it down again, and initialized it with no problem... and that was a while ago.

It started just a bit ago actually (like uhm galactic searchfeature anyone?)
I myself like it and hope it stays,
not that I will be firing any of my gals but nice to know they ain't glue in soace until they get paid

I haven't made any vendors since then until I made the ones on TC last night.
Definitely a pleasant surprise. Maybe I can free one up on live and give it a try soon.

yeah, which is why I have no clue when it started... I pull up my vendors from time to time.
