I got the same switched messages about 20 minutes ago. I went to go relist my items on my vendors and the vendors that were empty, gave me the message when I relisted the items. (Message being that my vendors would expire if i didnt put items on them.)

The emails only seem to work if you are in the room with the vendor when it loads or has a condition change. Not sure which. What I do is keep a single unit of something on for a silly price 10cr for 1 unit of poor qual steel for instance. And whenever it falls into the stockroom I retrieve it to my inventory and put it back up
on the vendor. That way at least once every 30 days I am poking the vendor.

In practice I look for that item and if it has less than 15 days left on it I pull it to inventory and relist. I have heard the abandoned vendor timer is more than 30 days now but it was for a time only 30 days
so I am just trying to be careful.
