Everyone seems to be missing the point in this forum.
The lag is created by lots of useless graphics and stuff since patch 9 everything went downhill.
Different serial numbers for the same object (ie Hvy Duty Leather) Cluttering the database.
Pointless loot drops (1+ CA AA attachments, Broken vidscreens) Stuff like that.
These are the things cluttering the databases.
Simple solution we are paying for this game so increase the server using the database.
What I really believe is that SOE dont know what to do with the Merchant profession. As they can not come up with anything useful they thought hey we can nerf it and then at least we will have done something with it. Wise up SOE your money making idea that we will all get second accounts is ridiculous. We are far more likely to cancel the ones we have should you choose to nerf these vendors.
How about limiting the public bazaar . Clear out the rubbish from all those . There are hundreds of absolutely pointless items on there than on private vendors.
The nerf will not help either because merchants will store stuff in houses or factories then gather it in backpacks and stand at starports spamming all the time and selling from there. I am pretty sure that will increase lag finding most merchants and crafter professions selling at starports. Coronet is witness to that,
Lets wise up SOE sift the crud from public bazaars and leave the vendors alone. Storage in houses is not enough and never has been since the start of the game. Unfortunately the community do not get listened to so I believe another profession is about to be ruined.
It seems that SOE feel that if they can ruin every profession then eventually they will get what they want from the servers. Jedi only servers.
