some skill trees need a reson tokeep master.. merchaen/danser/musician.... I've never seen anyone who was not a hologrinder or a MAJOR RP have master in these skills (i know they exist somewhere). I think once you get master you should have a Bonus of 20 skill points. You sacrificed the time and the points to get there. they don't really help yourself that much, they help others more. Those willing to sacrifise the points and time to get master should be given an insentive to keep them.

My main concern is simple.....what makes a merchant worth spending skill pts on? I am a master tailer, merchant and artisan. I set up a clothing shop, unless I inflame prices I cannot get the kind of income to really support my resource gathering. I expanded to include master artisan components...but then again, most other crafting profs. can master it and make their own. So now I turned to making bio-engineered clothes, but I have to buy tissues from bio-engineers, to then make highly inflated priced clothes. I am having a hard time seeing the point of Merchant...the reduced rates are good but my alt. maintains just as much stuff and pays for it with money from a few missions...not vendors. So I guess I am asking, why do we need merchants? Anyone can have a vendor pretty easy, anyone can put their stuff on the bizaar, what can merchants really do? put up tents? well rangers can do that better anyway.

Thanks, you made my point as to why the bazaar needs to go. and why only merchants should have vendors.
but then it really doesnt make a difference to me anymore i have left the game. why? because there is no system in this game that isnt built to frustrate, aggrivate, or work properly.
you want a way to create an uproar about merchant people?
instead of storing stuff on your vendor in the STOREroom, sell it for as many 9's as you can fit in the box when you go to sell it. then you will get 30 days of time that it will be on there. after that 30 days your email will WARN you that stuff will be going into the STOREroom where the devs will let it be deleted after 7 days. if you are lucky, or smart you will store it again in the sell tab. why? because that STOREroom is really a slippery slope to oblivion. just ask me, i lost OVER A 100K CREDITS worth of stuff there. no warning, no explanation that it wouldnt stay for more than 7 days. i had at least 2 pages worth of stuff being stored. ended up with 15 items from that list left last night. way to go devs.

My name was changed. The databases update to the old name after a few hours. Thus i get no mail on vendor activity. No one in the CSR arena can fix this. They all say it has to be fixed by the Devs. This is my single most important issue.

Are you saying that you can't drop a new vendor that will work properly?

I have three times pulled all vendors, and deleted all email. Then replaced vendors....and it seems when the servers do something after a period of time, , it changes the item owner to my previous name.

If you will send me a PM with details (Server, Planet, Character Name) I'll see if I can drum up any answers for you.

I'd like see merchants be able to travel from any travel point to any other travel point as a perk. So I could go from a shuttle port on one planet to a shuttle port on another with out any layovers. I'd also like to see master merchants be able to add a shipping skill, that would send items to bazzar terminals anywhere in the game.
