You gain visibility by equiping your saber infront of player characters. That's about it , wearing a robe or a tag do not effect visibility , they just allow players to recognize you as a Jedi and either Tell Hell you or list ya on there "to whack" list.

Yes, If you have any Lightsaber equipped in front of anyone, brings up visibility and using any force power, or using anything that takes up force power, that includes tuning crystals around any players.

Vis is only incurred when equiping, unequiping, using your LS or Force Powers within 32m of a Player or NPC. If it drops credits or can talk to you, AVOID IT.

I'm not sure if running missions give you vis, I heard rumours about it, but I stick by what I posted earlier, I don't think anything else gives you vis.

To my knowledge these things give visibility:

1. Having a lightsaber equipped infront of a player or NPC (this includes using it.)

2. Taking off or putting on your robe infront ofa player or NPC.

3. Using force powers infront of a player or NPC.

4. Tuning a crystal infront of a player or NPC.

**Edit: all these occurances must happen within 32m for visibility to be gained.

Vis range is 32m.

Equiping and unequiping gives vis (you CAN have saber in hand! but risk it igniting if agroed, just can't unequip/equip near people).

Fighting with saber gives vis.

Specials that use force powers even tuning gives vis.

Robes and title DO NOT give vis (only literally, and will get you onbounty hunters"this jedi is online" list).

my experiences are this:

- Equipping a lightsaber or robe in front of NPCs or Players (within 32m) causes visibility
- Using force powers within 32m meters of an NPC or player causes visibility
- Having a LS or robe equipped in front of Players or NPCs does not cause visibility
- Attacking a player or NPC with LS causes visibility
- Tuning crystals/pearls within 32m of an NPC or Player causes visibility

One event does not get you on the terms. Instead, there's a certain amount of visibility that you can have without being on the terms. When you get above that point you appear on there. The more visibility you gain above that point makes you appear more on the terms with every refresh. It takes approximately 3 days to get rid of all visibility according to the devs, but I don't know if that means you lose 33% every day, meaning you would only have to be on the terms for 1 day if you get above that point. Maybe someone can acknowledge that they've only been on the terms for one day?

How does Jedi visibility work in regard to Bounty Hunter terminals?

Each of the following Jedi-relation actions has an associated Jedi Visibility Modifier:

    -Equipping a Lightsaber.

-Initiating Combat with a Lightsaber equipped.

-Using any Jedi-related skills that consume Force power.

All PCs and all non-animal NPCs that observe a Jedi performing any of the above stated actions (observed as defined as within 32 meters) will contribute to an increase in the Jedi's Visibility Value (JVV).

-An opposing faction member who views this action will add the full value of the action to the Jedi Visibility Value.

-A Neutral PC or non-animal NPC will increase the JVV by 50 percent of the action's Jedi Visibility Modifier.

-A same-faction PC or non-animal NPC will increase the JVV by 25 percent of the action's Jedi Visibility Modifier.

Being grouped with a PC or non-animal NPC who is viewing this action has no influence on how Jedi Visibility is obtained.

I was recently informed by a CSR that just by being a jedi, the viz is ALWAYS increasing... just using force or your sabers around others just makes it increase faster. But being out in the middle of nowhere grinding, you are still slowly increasing it. Eventually, even without ever seeing another Player or NPC character, you'll still make it to the terms...just takes awhile

It's hard to tell, I've heard that from a player too. but at the same time. I think that vis really just depends on how reckless you are, I've been spotted by NPC's because they've landed on me, and I've ran away with my LS in hand, and still noticed that I'm not on the boards, so just play it safe.

Recently became a jedi and was wondering if there was a command to check visibility?
