are you sure cuz the other day I signed on and had

17683 merchant exp but after loading my vendorchecking offers, looking at my storeroom, and seeing whatI had forsale and when itwould end it; I closed my vendorand checked my exp and itwas maxed out. so they must have changed howwe get merchant exp

Just loading your vendors updated it.


Sometimes experience is cached, you will not receive it until after you have actually entered the building your vendors are in.


You yourself poking and prodding your vendors inventory does not help your XP.

Correct. Your vendors only give you xp when they are loaded into the world by a person entering the building where they are.

When they load in, they will calculate how much xp they have missed while they were asleep and give it all to you in one big chunk.

you gain xp every hour though, so in that aspect you're good to go. as for buying stuff... get out and advertise



I have my guys vendors all in a row, 8 in the front, 2 in the back for storage, thats the most i can have atm, until i hit master merchat

how about going on the bazaar and making sure your price is equal to or lower than everyone else who sells the same item of equal value?

I know you get xp for having a vendor placed. I believe you get xp even if you are carrying the vendor in your personal inventory. Let me explain why I believe this.


I created a vendor in my house and have been waiting for my guild's mall administrator to be logged on at the same time as me so I can place it there. The vendor has been in my inventory for a couple days now and while I was out grinding combat fs xp, I had the flash from the sky and a message that says I now qualify for the skill of novice merchant. I have yet to place the vendor so it would appear that just having it even if it isn't placed you get the hourly xp.

That wouldn't surprise me.

However, since that vendor you're carrying isn't initialized and you haven't paid maintenance on it, you're only getting 33% of the xp you would be getting if you had placed it.


Also, if you do place that vendor it'll most likely be at 0% condition and you'll have to pay a fortune to bring it up to full condition. It'll be easier just to destroy it and make a new one.


Just create the vendor at the mall when you go to place it. You have to be on the admin list to drop it anyway.


Putting the vendor up inside your house and putting a single item on sale for 999999cr until you were ready to place it in the mall would have gotten you much more xp by now.

i've been doing advertising all this time but nobody is coming so what is the best way to get people to your vendor?

Lower your price and/or increase your quality. You could check if your Vendorshave theGlobal search enabled, if you want to use it.

And you should check if your Vendors are a) visible and b) fast to reach.

And of course... advertise more

Excellent that helps a lot.

Should have put down all my vendors instead of just one. Missed out on a lot of xp
