Thread: Should they reduce skill point cost for merchant?
Message Edited by Dakaar_Halycon on 05-06-2005 10:42 AM
I agree Merchant should be part of a crafting proffesion.
Its taking up vauable points for no reason.
sure the combats have nothing to offer up for sell..they do not need vendors...
and noone would ever want to just be a collector to resell, or a harvester to provide resources..
/sarcasm off
I will never support Merchanting or Vendoring being made into a crafter only skill.
Everyone should have the right to sell if they chose to sink in the skill points to do so.
as I've already told the politicians, I would much rather have them add content to the profession instead of reducing sp requirements. 0sp is a mixed blessing, and it's one that I hope isn't given to the merchants

Um I beg to differ.....
I'm a master Tailor, Master Artisan, and a Master Merchant and I have a little over 3500 items (Clothing/Tailor supplies/Aritsan goods/Loot) total spread across 6 vendors, so your statement of "no body has over 2500 items in their vendor to sell at anytime" is bulloxs!

I did for over a year, until about a week or two ago when I got so fed up with merchant that I shut down my vendors. My problem was that 4000 items wasn't enough. I was having to restock every few days. And I'm not even a crafter...

QFE!
One of the coolest things I think they could do for merchant is grant the ability to dropvendors for other people and take a percentage of the sales. Master merchant only I think. Drop a vendor, give "concessionaire" rights to a player (so they could stock and get the sales from the vendor) and seteither apercentage or flat fee to be charged.
How about just erasing the SP requirement for advertising, which is now a totally useless tree, and keep the SP for the other trees. That way to get Master you'd still need to use SP, but don't waste points on something that is totally useless.
<edit> Just thought, why not just make it a 3 tree prof instead of 4.

Fat chance. Look at the latest 'content' they've added. Having to buy what is basically a giant theme park?? Sorry, I thought that's what my monthly subscription was for.

I know the possibility's remote (tell me about it, I'm a politician), but would you rather have them take away your sp then forget about it, or have something to nag them about?
