Thread: A Vendor is to A merchant like........
The skill "Intimidate Mob" to a brawler...You can't Intimidate if you drop Brawler.
The Skill Dance is to entertainer...You can't dance if you drop Entertainer.
The Skill Play Instrument is to entertainer...No playing for a non entertainer
Droid schematics are to Droid Engineer...You can't make new schematics if you drop DE
Harvesting Animal Products is to scouts...You cant harvest without scout
Slicing is to a smuggler...You can't slice without smuggler.
Being that all this is TRUE in the game.....
A VENDOR is to a Merchant...You shouldnt be able to manage one without it!!!!!
SO STOP ASKING FOR DEV PERMISSION TO POACH MY PROFESSION YOU GREEDY 133t HOGS
Good list for the most part, but this is a counterproductive example.

Even if you have a billion schems......resources die in time....you would run out of resources/components far before you used up all of the schems. The point still isn't valid....there is still a limit on schems....vendors live forever.
I say again - talk to one of the masters who took advantage of the temp nerf. 43 factories loaded up with resources and schematics from that day. ![]()
As I understand it, though, vendors living forever isn't the problem. Using vendors without merchant skills (the way that schematics can be used by non-crafters) is the problem. Correct? That's what makes it a bad analogy.

Well one idea was if you dropped merchant skills your vendor would "lock" meaning you could only sell what was on it, you couldnt add to iventory. Then when the item list hits 0 the vendor goes bye bye.
I agree, that's the best way to handle droppage of "uncertified" vendors. It'd even let tailors use "uncertified" vendors as clotheshorses by listing items on the vendor for 999999999999 credits.
Though here's aproblem with that scenario- what if you're certified to use 3 vendors and you have 4? Do they all become inoperable? I guess you could have some interface for choosing which ones you want to continue operating as vendors...

Gave me an idea.. make it to where you need business 3 (artisan line) to "Pay Maintenance" to a vendor.
