Delete all the mail up to May 31 or June 1 (small batches, anything large will freeze you), and then do a new /mailsave. It's designed so you won't get duplicate saves. Then you can delete that mail.
No idea what the back up folder is for. My guess is... Backing things up.

Ok I have deleted all mail up to and including the 31st May. I have done another /mailsave and not much happens other than a message saying it is requesting 700 odd mail. I get no message to say that it has been completed. After several hours (4-5) I typed /mailsave again and it confirmed that it was requesting 100 mail this time. Several more hours went by and still I got the same message that it was requesting 100 mails.
I have opened up Merchant's Friend and noticed it gets the info from the Backup folder.
Can someone please explain to me what I am doing wrong and how to use these two tools as I really would like ot know what my sales are like and see what is selling and what isn't....

Firstly I am trying to use Mercant's Friend and SWG Sales Manager. I did a /mailsave but crashed 3/4 of the way through. As i'd never uesed either toold before I had 1600 odd mailsto save. I uploaded the mails etc with no problems but due to the crash, only had details of sales going up to 1st June. I have done various mailsave's since and then tried to upload but nothign happens. When I mailsave, I should add I have not yet received a message that all have been saved. Should I be deleting the ones I have saved i.e. upto 1st June?
In the saved mail folder I have some files and then another folder called back up. Whats that all about?

Not seen that before, i assume its a nady program to track sales?
Tried a forum search but didn't get anywhere does nayone have a link to it perhaps?

Do these programs work pretty good? If so, I'm saying bye bye to my ghetto style/note file of customers.
Definately giving these a shot this week.
That's exactly what I run into. Generally I open it up and go make dinner. It's usually open by the time I get finished cooking.
Has anyone found a similar program that doesn't take quite so long to load? I love The Merchant's Friend, it's just horribly difficult to load the archive so you can actually make use of the features.
