They still can't be reading though all the threads... why have they not made any reply to us?

earlier this morning Thunderheart, Runesabre, and a few other devs were in fact "Online" i'm just wondering if they checked the JTL forums or what, this is an unacceptable change.

They just keep digging deeper. Eventually, there will be no place to go.

Yeah there will be...the unemployment line when this game dies..no wait nvm, they will be made chief developers of EQ2 expansions because they were able to cause a competing game to implode, seemingly, on it's own just in time for EQ2 to go live.

Definitely disappointing that they can't even be bothered to reiterate the fact that these changes are only being proposed. Poor DocSavag is starting to get a little frayed at the seams, so it would seem. A couple posts by Doc have been very defensive, obviously our Merchant Corr is asking for clarification or anything yet the Devs have been AWOL.
And, excuse me- but just what kind of Community Relations Manager has no idea something of this magnitude is brewing and does nothing to foster a productive examination of this proposed change. Instead, he and the rest of the Devs allow this flame war to perpetuate until everyone whines and threatens to cancel, or cancels, their account.
Pretty sad that this game's community now feels that constant cancellation threats are the only way they feel they can even get through to the Development Team. Something is wrong communication-wise in these forums, and this lengthy absence of a voice of sanity from within the Development Team over this very frustrating proposed change exemplifies it.
I can't figure out which would be more exasperating - the Dev team knowing people are so upset over this, yet say nothing, OR they're completely unaware of the situation all together.
Talk to us, I mean give me a break....

Im not really defensive about anything other than people assuming I like these chagnes merely because I refuse to get hysterical about them. I've been fighting this change for months.

Or, more likely, they spent the morning trying to do their jobs (they have other jobs besides posting on the boards) while someone (probably TH) read all the posts on many forums related to this (probably numbering in the thousands). That person was then required to compile a list outlining the main concerns/suggestions of the players so that the devs could read it.This list would then be handed out to all the devs involved so they could go over it. The next step would be to schedule a meeting with everyone involved, discuss the situation. At that point they may have to go back and crunch some numbers. Talk to the database guys. Talk to the programmers. Then have another meeting to discuss the situation. Then they could post on the boards.
RELAX people, it's still early in the afternoon there. You think this an easy situation?Nevermind when you have to come to post into a hostile enviroment where every word you say will be remembered and thrown back in your face if you ever change your mind.

You mean you're not just the devs' mouthpiece to us? ![]()
Seriously though, what's the point of having correspondents IF THEY NEVER LISTEN TO A WORD YOU SAY?!?!?!?! (Not just you, seems they don't listen across the board...)
/sigh

Just to add, I don't like these changes either but it's amazing how fragile the emotions of many of the people on this board are when it comes to any changes to this game, let along big ones
I guess it means people really do care hehe

Okay I count 3 well known Radiant crafters posting in this thread now.
I think we do deserve a response. It is a pitty that the only way to get something changed in this game for the better is to have a huge public outcry (or to stop a game breaking change).
The Developers say that we don't know what we want, while that may be true, we know what we DON'T want.

People care a great deal, most people enjoy the game, however changes like these add extra stress that is unneeded/wanted and push them further away from the game.
I'm not sure a casual player could be a great crafter, the only saving grace the casual player had whencrafting was being able to take merchant and stock their vendor.
I don't see this as helping anyone, maybe the database directly, everyone else it will harm directly or indirectly.

Thats what I am saying Atlantis.. Its all about the stress of being a crafter which really should not be stressful at all.. When we were out on Endor hunting that wooly I was not stressed.. We just hunted and gathered are wooly up calmly and talked.. It was fun.. When it comes to merchant and being a large calibre one we become hermits, which is okay for a bit but not for the majority of the time which we have avail to play a game..
Obviously time varies from person to person but still..

Yep, and while this game is supposed to be fun and enjoyable these changes take away from that.
