I just want to get my vendort on the map. If I grind up to Advertising III, get my vendor on the map and then countinue to pay for the placement, can I drop Advertising III and still keep my vendor on the map? I'm assuming that I can.

Get out of this forum and realize that this will be fixed in an upcoming patch. We don't need your kind of exploiting here.

For now, I think that you can, but don't quote me on it.

However, why would you want to? If you are taking the time to bring up merchant, why not keep it? Think of all the others that have done it and still have their skills, by you coming in here and asking them about something that is obviously and exploit of the game mechanics, you are asking for trouble. But your question should have atleast been answered as well.

Just keep the skill, and make it worth your while.

Well excuse the heck out of me, I had no idea it was such a touchy subject. I hope they fix it, then everyone else will be in the same boat as I am. I'm not looking to exploit, just want to get on equal footing with the rest of the populace who seems to have millions of credits at their disposal, while I'm stuck doing boring missions for 1-2K in credits.

I would keep it as long as I have points to spend, but I'm looking at an Armor/Weaponsmith/Smuggler setup, but I also want a few more combat skills so I can get in a little trouble every now and then. I have my vendor up now and advertising on the bazaar has led to zero sales. Even if I could find a Merchant who would let me place my vendor in their mall I would probably go for it, but once again I'm usually functioning with only 5-10k in my bank account, since most of my profits go back into my harvesters.

You must be new here too, because you may not have realized the shear number of questions that were brought here worded virtually the same way. You may want to check out history of the board sometime.

These questions are NOT welcome here, because inevitably they always degenerate into some sort of flame war that last at least 100 posts per thread. I may help in its spread by the type of response that I have, but I want it known that questions thatask if it is OK to exploit our profession like this one are not appreciated on this forum.
