I think they should put an option on the map where you can see if the vendor is active or not i also am tired of going out of my way to go to a vendor and it is empty waist of time and money lord knows the shuttle system is alredy a waste of time let alone going to a vender that is empty

My solution to the empty vendor as a Merchant... raise prices.

I am not a merchant but I do have vendors that was placed by a Merchant. While I try to ensure that the vendors is always stocked it would be nice if a Merchant was registered that an Out of Stock Flag would show up if the Vendor was empty.

It can be really frustrating to wait 9 minutes for shuttles only to get to the destination to find it empty.

I am a Swordsman, and nothing pisses me off like an empty vendor. I volunteer to serve on The Beheading Committee for those Merchants with perpetually empty vendors.

Try crafting and keeping a huge stock...

THEN complain. It's not easy to keep a vendor fully stocked 24/7. If you can do it, then return to your swordsmanship or your bounty hunting, and your conception that crafters play simply to serve you, and piss you off when everyone else beats you to thier vendor.

You are sorely mistaken. Having a vendor with items on it is your privelidge, not the crafters obligation.Blame Sony for not having vendor code turn the vendor global advertisement off if the stock is cleared.

As a merchant, I would love it if there was some way for my positional customers to se if I had a certain item in stock BEFORE they came to my shop. Say throe a search function of some kind. However, such a system does not exist. Neither can I get unlimited resources and unlimited factory time, to make an unlimited amount of items to put up for sale.
I can understand why you find it annoying to go out to a vendor and find it empty, but it might not be the merchants fault. Epically with items that are hard to find, with thoughts hard to find items customers have a tendency to hamster when they find them.
Or perhaps it the vendor of a hologrinder who just wand the XP from you coming in to look. (Even more likely if you had to pay an entrance fee)

So, if you come here to help us get a solution to our common problem implemented... Welcome, maybe the devs will make this a priority if enough players put the spotlight on it.

I do craft and keep a full vendor, I replaced 700+ items on my vendor this morning. of course I also mastered merchant in two and half weeks because I had things to sell.

I think it's important to actually have things to sell, how else can players have what they need?

I thought that was the point of being a merchant, was to sell things. How do you sell things if your vendor is empty.

There are several vendors on my server that have been empty for weeks.

I just don't understand this.

I am sooo tired of going to a vendor only to find it empty! All merchants with empty vendors (registered with the planetary map) should be shot, or at the very least there should be a negitive XP penalty.

I have 3 of 6 empty vendors currently.

1 is a powerup vendor.
1 is a resource vendor.
1 is a greeting-droid.

they are working and havent init-bugged for 4 days.
ill be damned if i unregister a vendor, only to have it break all the other vendors in my **edit** shop so i lost over 75 vehicles.

I stock every sunday and friday.

deal with it.

If you think empty vendors is bad now wait till they require you to be novice merchant to have one and place those caps in. Fewer vendors then and emptier because people can't live their lives around their machines.

I do craft. And I will complain. (not that being a crafter gives you any more right complain than anyone else)

There very few things more annoying then getting out to a registered vendor and finding out that it is empty. And I do blame the crafters/store owners.

I'm a weaponsmith. However, as a weaponsmith, I focus on ranged weapons only. I no longer stock melee weapons or munitions. There are just too many different ones for me to build and stock effectively. However, I make dang sure that I never run out of the ranged weapons that I carry. And if a smuggler buys out of my last 20 laser rifles, I make sure I can re-stock quickly (I keep crates of stock in the back for these occasion).

I feel its better to do a few things well, rather than doing many things poorly.

And I would love to see something like this in the vendor registration page.

  • vendor1 (123)

  • vendor2 (64)

  • vendor3 (0)

  • etc.
