With money and macros you can grind through ANY of the professions faster than this, arghhh

I know most of you true merchants hate us holo grinders, but we are people too :x

Yup, first of all I have no sympathy for holo grinders but second of al you can grind this profession faster than any other in the game...Just start setting up vendors as fast as you get them and have a buddy buy something from you off it...then he resells it to your vendor...you buy it and re-offer it...repeat and you'll master Merchant in no time.

The only profession that would truly suck to grind would be politician. Lol

Dream on, you don't get xp for sales.
Merchant is the worst holo profession.

That's because you guys are just impatient.

Merchant might take longest, but it is the EASIEST. You don't even have to DO anything, just set up vendors as you can, and wait it out. I didn't get it for my holo, but I'm mastering it while I master pistoleer (holo prof), just in case

If you go up the management line first you can easily do it in less than two weeks with no effort put in.

Imagine you'd get master politician with a holocron

In order to continue your path towards absolute power you only need to build up a city, get 50 people to settle there and wait a month or two.

Merchant is driving me nuts.

this profession used to be easy as pie when you got xp for bazaar stuff, but now it blows. I am not even doing it for holo. I just want a merchant and I have one on a friends account and I was switching to another account so he could have his back and go BH. I got to 0 1 1 4 in about a week with his guy by selling on bazaar pre patch, then after I start my char for a merchant and it has taken a week to get 2000xp trying to get novice merchant. This sucks, go back the way it was. Why shouldn't a merchant get xp for selling on bazaar, why else have the premium auctions and reduced fees linked to merchant?

Now... I have truely become enlightened in how crappy merchant is as a profession lol. If I wanted to become a capitalist I don't know how I could possibly want to become a Jedi... the Stae Wars equivilant to a zen monk,a group that shuns material goods and physical trappings.

Ok ok... perhaps the Master of the Holocron knows something I don't, but I don't think I've sold so much useles crap to people at such terribl eprices in all my carrer in this game. Ha... I have to take up a different job and take huge losses on the droids I usually charge lots for just to get the XP... feh... the sooner I get to drop this wanky proffession the the better off Myself and all the folks on Tempest will be...

imo that would be the worst

Merchant is the worst holo profession because you CAN'T grind your way through it, granted. It's the easiest profession for a casual player though, because you don't have to spend hours and hours at a time just focusing on one skill. i have only 1 more box left before I'm filled up (not planning on going for master merchant at the moment), and it's taken me months but in the same time I've only filled 2 boxes of chef.

Nope, sorry. Try 23 days from Businessman to Master Merchant assuming someone (you) are in your house 24/7. And anyone that thinks staying locked in your house for 23 days straight is no effort, they should go talk to David Blain.
