Thread: Umm So is this vendor item details bug getting fixed anytime soon?
ArclightX wrote:Seriously...I'm not about to continually relist +3000 items on a day by day basis... Do the devs even know there is a problem?I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm telling the correspondent how to do his/her job, but for a merchant this is pretty d@mn game breaking. Do what you have to do, yell at them, scream at them, inundate them with emails every hour on the hour documenting the bug over and over again until you get a response. Be a pest.At the end of the day, simply put. Do what you've got to do to make this a priority...Sorry for the rant but I felt the need to speak up and emphasize the seriousness of this issue.
Any correspondent who followed your advice would be kicked out of the program. Ranting at devs does nothing. They will fix it when they fix it.
and Cors can only post, list , and report back
they are nothing more then players who volenteered their own time to try and help a profession they are familier with
I do not envy their position at any time, and have trust in all of them that they rae bringing forth all they can.

Ok then, what do you suggest? Patiently waiting for some acknowledgement and hoping quietly that the gods will shine their ray of lights in the merchant direction?Perhaps you've not taken the chance to peruse the jedi/bh forums, ranting/kicking/screaming, (and yes even by the correspondents themselves) seems to be the standard method of operation.Listen, in the end we're all on the same side here, furthermore we're all interested in getting results, sorry to sound patronizing but I'm gonna repeat that last part, Getting Results.Use whatever coloqualism you wish, "squeaky wheel gets the grease" etc.. etc.. In the end this issue needs to get fixed and soon, this isn't some trivial aesthetic detail that would be nice to have. This is basic merchant functionality and its broken currently, to me that certainly passes the litmus testfor "top priority issue".I've said it before and I'll say it again, Do what you have to do to get this fixed, Period
In the end it doesn't matter what priority you or anyone else places on a bug. It will be fixed when they decide to fix it. The correspondent's job is to inform them of the issue and communicate responses back. If Elyssa started spamming them with complaints about this they would tell her politely to knock it off, then they would remove her if she didn't obey. They don't have patience for immature behaviour on the behalf of corespondents. They don't need to be reminded about the bug because as you can see from the link uptopic it is already on the list of things they are working on.

That was tried once by a very frustrated correspondant. He had to be removed from his position.
The devs do know about the bugs reported by players and correspondants. Of course, any particular SOE representative (Thunderheart tends to be the most visible example) may not be aware of a particular bug. Then you get things like Tuesday Tips on how something is supposed to work, rather than how it actually does. ![]()
It sucks when you have a list of stuff important to you (and your profession) that gets deemed less important than bug fixes or new content for other groups. Players become correspondants because they care about their chosen profession, but at the same time have to occasionally (or often, or alwaysdepending on which prof you're talking about) take a back seat to other things. But the devs can only do so much in a given period of time, so they have to prioritize their work. Depending on your own in-game focus, the chosen priorities may be A-OK, or you may consider the devs to be on mind altering drugs.

And be sure you throw in a few lines in every bug thread
{which you have not done according to your post history}
since you can take the time to start a thread here, surely you can post there

I said nothing about your post count, it was your post history {ie where you have prevously posted} and the bug threads was not one of them.
I participate just fine in the professions I hold a stake in, both in game and in the forums, and I don't recall anyone electing you the grand arbitor of who qualifies for actively contributing and supporting, and who doesn't.
I mean really, shall I scour your 3000 plus posts? Documenting here those which fall under the heading of trolling& non-constructive, and then go on to make light of them?
Seriously, we're both merchants, we're both looking for results that help to promote and prosper our chosen profession, how about we just stick to that goal and not try to hammer each other back and forth.
My you seem to be missing the point, here you are telling people to raise a rukus and yet you never posted on the threads which are for such a thing.
That is the only thing I am saying, if you read further into the post then that, that is on you.
I care less about post counts or content of posts, but i firmly beleive you should not tell someone to do something when they are indeed doing it and your not.
