Packs now count toward total item count for its contents? Geez, I bet there's hundreds out there like me with Master Merchant who have all their loot seperated by serial number in packs. I can't wait to see how over the limit I am. Please sign this petition and perhaps if ppl feel as strong as I do, we can stop this. I'm stepping to the plate, who's with my boycott?

It looks like its time to start selling. I slashed prices on about half a million units of resources last night just to try and get them to move and clear out my vendors some.

I deal in resources and I have over 220 million in high quality stuff that I use to sell in small amounts. that is44 bags which is not bad for a master merchant... but if they count what is in the packs if I even pack them in 100k stacks that is 2200 which leaves me with no room to sell my meds...

It's done and it's been discussed here ad nauseam prior to the patch.

Honestly, this won't accomplish anything. Better off putting together a petition that allows bundling while not allowing storage.

Well, honestly, with the item limits going in, why did you think they werent going to count them now? If they didnt you could still have 4000 x 50 items at master merchant.. Come on folks, if you have that much crap, maybe you should lower your prices some so maybe you'd sell some of it???

Did you actually read the notes for todays update?

"When storing backpacks on vendors, the items inside the backpack will count as one item, but the backpack itself will NOT be counted against the item limit. An empty backpack will count as 1 item."

So the contents count, as they should, but you can use backpacks for organising things for FREE!

I can sole crash the doctor buff market if I drop prices too low... I don't think that would be cool.

This is just plain stupid, Great now let me try and add a couple of more houses tothe 7 I already have placed just so I can have even more stuff to deal with. I think devs if your going to do this your gonna have to increase the amount of items in houses. All your gonna have now is more empty vendors because we have no were to store sub componets anymore.

This is an insane thread, you want to abuse the merchant profession so you can be a pack rat? I'm going to say this once, SO PAY BLOODY ATTENTION!

IF YOU WANT TO HAVE MORE ITEM STORAGE SPACE, PETITION FOR MORE ITEMS PER HOUSE. LEAVE THE MERCHANT PROFESSION AND ITS FORUM TO THE MERCHANTS.

You have been using a system that is a widely known, and if you had take the time to look at your holocron INGAME you would know, BUG. It was never intended to be your storage mule.

You have too many items if you have to store them this way. Too much junk. You wont use it. Its clear it isnt selling or this wouldnt be a problem. Thin it down. You can do it !

Have a great day!

According to Launchpad notes it says that a backpack of 1-50 items will count as one on the vendor. Although could be a mistake, haven't had any confirmation on that yet.

You're out of time, SOE The whole 2.5 months shouldn't have been. The game was fine up until Nov 15th. If the CU was worked on, instead of devoting time to the NGE (including the many months prior to November), the game could possibly be totally bug free by now.

My account cancels on 2nd Feb, which was a waste as only played game for 1 day to get the life day gifts, will be resubbing when creature handler, Bio-engineer, scout, and ranger return, oh and the FS village.

That's exactly how I read it - a full backpack is 1 item, an empty backpack is 1 item. I hope they just mistyped and it really should say "items inside the backpack will EACH count as one item" but I doubt it.

Score one more for the whiner non-merchant vendor-storage people.

And? I'm glad you have the market cornered on your server. But the OP was bitching about something that's been hashed over, and over, and over, and...... It's been said that items in bags were going to count toward your vendor limits. I'll still say though, if you have more then 4000 items, you need to move them a little faster. Or SOE needs to cut down on factory runs. 1000 at a time is way too much IMO. The limits are in the game, and are going to stay.
