IM not the biggest supporter of UNFAIR LIMITATIONS, BUT THE DEVS HAS JUST SET THE PRESIDENCE THAT IF YOU WORK HARD YOU CAN OWN UP TO 660 ITEMS

THAT IS A HUGE NUMBER

660 GAFFI STICKS AT 20K PER =13,200,000 YES THAT IS 13 MILLION

OR

660 GAFFI STICKS IN CRATES

EACH CRATE HAS 25

AND COUNT AS ONE ITEM SOLDAT 500K EACH = 330,000,000 YES THAT IS 300 MILLION

Now that you put it that way, i can see how this kills your profits.

No, they are saying at master merchant you could sell that many items at one time

THAT IS A HUGE NUMBER

I dont know of any WS that just sells Gaffi Sticks. Variety and selection required sometimes multiple variations of the smae product... Just 1 type of Carbine for instance can be Regular, scoped, stocked (more then one type), scoped and stocked, Krayted, Kryated and stock, Krayted and scoped, Krayted and stocked and scoped...etc.. There are at least 11 variations of that one weapon... now multiple that by all the different carbines (let alone other types of weapons)and you see a WS will ONLY stock the best selling items at the highest profit under these new limits.

Now that you put it that way, i can see how this kills your profits.

I personally could care less about profit or cr, I made enough to last me for as long as I play this game. Now I just help newer and older ones crafters alike obtain the resources they need to succeed at their trades and offer advice when I can. Credits stopped having meaning for me a long time ago. I spend 1/5 of my total skill points to maintain my vendors so as to provide a service and help my community.

1) No WS stocks ONLY gaffi sticks.

2) If you're paying 20k per gaffi, please come to my vendor on Naritus immediately! I'm charging 2k or 2.5k per.

OR

660 GAFFI STICKS IN CRATES

EACH CRATE HAS 25

Yet another example of a well-thought-out set of logic... or an example of why some animals kill their young, young.

A service to a community sure, I can accept that, trying to provide for an ENTIRE SERVER... nope.

People whine about alot of things, but Ive not heard any MASTER MERCHANTS CHIME IN saying yes, this is crap... ONLY 660 items what will I do with my other items.

Sell the first 660, if you manage to do so then restock.

manage your vendor, your customer base and your characters inventory better and you may find yourself saying " well maybe Im ok with that 660"

DO THIS SIGRUM,

LIST YOUR BOTTOM DOLLAR WEAPON

NOW MULTIPLY BY 660

HMMM LOTS OF MONEY HUH

2K x 660=1.2m ya that sucks huh

lets take a WP from my server that sells STUN BATONS FOR 1.2M (THAT IS FOR A NICE SLICE) THEY GO UP TO 8M FOR REALLY GOOD ONES

SO 1.2M x 660

well the math is easy enough for even the single digit L33Ts like yourself

Dont try to justify math with skewed thinking, you dont want the change that is happening, so youll buck/flame anything anyone says to promote the idea

have fun with this one , if the last one was easy this should be super easy

Raine, what do you craft? What do you sell? Where are your vendors?

Me, I craft weapons and I also sell resources.

I plant my vendors in malls. I do this for two reasons. First, because the mall is an advantage to me - it gets a lot of traffic which means brisk sales. Second, because a mall is an advantage to the consumer - they can stop at one spot and buy what they need to buy.

Now the thing with malls is, you're usually limited to one vendor per product type. Some malls limit you to one "uber" vendor.

This means I don't get 660 weapons on my vendor in the mall. I get 110.

I decided to specialize in only certain weapons to save my sanity. It's really a huge PITA to make and sell *everything*. I sell VK's, Gaffis, LVA's, Stun Batons, Power Hammers, Flamethrowers, and Jawa Ion Rifles. I offer crated items on my vendor as well as singles.

I try to keep enough stock on my vendor so that, stocking once per week, I don't quite sell out. This means that at modest sales levels I need an average of 20 singles of each of those weapons on my vendor. I listed 7 items so in singles only that's 140 items. I also keep crates on my vendor as a service to my customers - some like them for storage advantages, some for slicing, whatever. Again, keeping a week's supply on my vendor is an average of 6 crates 7 items, or another 42 items. I suppose I could live with a 200 item limit for vendors.

No, I don't think it's unreasonable to only want to stock once per week. This isn't a job, it's a game.

And I'm really limiting what I sell. A WS who wanted to sell more stuff would easily need 5x or more what I need.

An Armorsmith under the 110 item limit gets to stock a whopping 11 suits of armor.

A tailor under the 110 item limit gets to stock 1/6 of what he can make IN ONE COLOR ONLY.

An architect under the 110 item limit gets to stock about 1/5 of all the items he can make.

I see you argue an awful lot based on money. Are you a Socialist? Do you think that business people who think, work hard, and provide good customer service should not reap the rewards of the same? Are you miffed because you're incapable of generating a million credits via a SWG business?

Or do you think that we Merchants are so overpowered in the GCW that we need to be nerfed this hard?

What's your REAL gripe?

I hardly try to supply the entire server.. that would be impossible for anyone. I have no way of controling the servers resources, people will mine and sell as they wish, I simply offer a vendor that happens to have resoruces that date back well into last year. So if I do hold a monopoly, then its the monopoly that I am the one person on the server willing to sell many of the "rare" and "uber" resources available to the newer crafters...

People whine about alot of things, but Ive not heard any MASTER MERCHANTS CHIME IN saying yes, this is crap... ONLY 660 items what will I do with my other items.

I have been master merchant twice since August 2003, some times I operate with it, sometimes I only use management 4. There are plenty of master merchants against this limit, you are one of the few I have seen who thinks this is acceptable. Most people just dont come to the board and clarify thier current skills.

Sell the first 660, if you manage to do so then restock.

Try telling that to tailors or archs who each have over 20k options to what they can produce.

MASTER MERCHANT MEANS SOMETHING NOW

To me it means I will drop merchant and take my business to the boards, thus making much harder for newer crafters to obtain the rare resources I currently stock on my vendors.

ITS ON TEST, IVE NOT SEEN ANYTHING ON TEST (EXCEPT RAZOR KNUCKLERS) NOT GO THROUGH TO LIVE, MAKE ALOTMENTS FOR THE CHANGES AND MOVE ON.

There have been a number of things on test in the last year that have not made it to live, or only stayed live for a day or so.

You know what, I'm a master merchant I've chimed in and said, yes this is crap. Maybe you're not reading the same threads as I am. Or you've got such selective reading skills you choose not to.

Pleanty of things have been on test and not went live. The ham revamp, the crafting experimentation change (went live for a day and was pulled), Razor Knucklers.

I have a feeling you haven't been playing since launch like a lot of us have, so maybe you're still in awe of the game, some of us are past that point, and being pushed further away every day.

Anyone who stocks a "well stocked" vendor has more than 660 items, If you were to count the armor I have on one vendor I have >1000 pieces, (most are in backpacks). I sold 15 suits of armor yesterday that is 150 items that is a whole vendor+ some sold out, not to mention on weekends sales are drastically higher for most everyone.

Somehow the point is missed by some. It's not about the money. Its about being able to deliver themost best service we can to our customers.
