Thread: Annoying Customers you want to throw in the Sarlacc Pit
BEEP, Incoming Tell
Annoying Customer: Hi, do you sell furniture?
Me: Yes i do, I have a stocked Vendor/Showroom outside of Bestine will send ya a WP
Annoying Customer: Oh good, can you make me a couch
Me: I have many stylesof couchesin stock on the vendor
Annoying Customer: Well can you make me 2 of them
Me: I dont need to make them, they are already there. I have over 300 items on the vendor.
Annoying Customers: I also need chairs.
Me: Why dont you go down to the vendor, and check out what is there. If there is something you need but dont see, send me an email, and I will have it ready for you tomorrow.
Annoying Customer:Oh I dont have any money.
Me: uh, ok well look me up when your ready
Annoying Customer:Can I give you a house deed for some furniture
Me: Im a Master Architect I reallydont need any more houses. I also stopped selling houses a while back, I just stick to furniture now.
Annoying Customer: Oh well, I guess Im not as rich as you. Ya know some people dont have money.
Me: sigh, im sorry to hear that, maybe you should wait to go shopping until you get some.
Annoying Customer: Your pretty rude.
Me: Thanks, have a good nite.
Now Im sure some people are going to tell me, thatI was the one that was rude. But sometimes when i get into these stupid conversations, I'll admit I lose my cool and my sarcasticness comes out. But when I have 6 of these dumb conversations in a row I want to pull the hair out of my head and scream.
Im just venting, but if you have any similar scenarios I would love to hear about them, would make me feel better.

omg I feel your pain. That must have been the same customer I had....without quoting the conversation it always boils down to:
can u make me -------?
where r u?
can u come 2 me? thats far
how much? oi thats too much. i only have 200cr
u r greedy/mean/rude/stingy
etc etc etc.....
Just like my philosophy in real life, "the world would be a better place if everyone spent just one month in retail and saw what really goes on".....LOL
Me in town: "IooCam's offers a wide range of Items, Including crates of food for your pet, that is over 200 feedings in one crate, All of these can be found at my shop /waypoint xxx xxx"
Random Person:"Do you have any Petfood on you now?"
Me: "No, I put all my items on my vendor for sale, my shop is less than 1000 meters from here"
Random Person:"I don't want to have to run that far, give me a tell when you bring some into town"
Me: "Okay thanks, stand my your keyboard, wait for my tell"
Random Person: "Okay"
Annoying Customer: Oh well, I guess Im not as rich as you. Ya know some people dont have money.
Me: sigh, im sorry to hear that, maybe you should wait to go shopping until you get some.
I think at that point I'd just yell "go earn some f*cking money like everyone else does, you asstard! kthxbye!" and then put him on the ignore list.
Customer:I've heard about your store.Can I ask you a question?
Me: I'd be glad to help...but be awareI'm on Endor in a group fighting.
Customer: What are the stats on your FWG's, T21's, Iron, Steel, Milk, and Stim D's?
Me: Umm..well they're..[this,that,the other] .AArrrgh! (me getting whacked by a mob)
Customer: Oh..thanks I was outside your store and I thought I'd ask..
Me: Why didn't you just look on the vendor?
Customer: Oh..that takes too much time.
Customer: ....and your T21's suxx0r..[Blank] sells one for half the price at 10 times the stats.

I dont think you will find merchants complaining that folks without money should hide in a hole or anything. Just that there is a significant number of folks that want items for free or service beyond what the value is there are purchasing; eg, had a guy want me to deliver a 1000 credit jacket to another planet where he was ... the ticket alone would cost more than that ... let alone the time to wait at teh space port.
Customer: Sorry I logged out the other night without getting with you for that stuff I ordered. Do you have it now? Can I come get it?
Me: No problem. I'll have to go get it I don't have it on me.
Customer: Ok. I don't have much money.
Me: How much is not much?
Customer: under 1k
Me: OK. Well Look this stuff you ordered would normally be about 2800. But I'll give it to you for 500 down and when you get more money pay me another another 1500. (Me figuring that I would be out the 1500 but I was feeling generous)
Customer: I was hoping for more like a donation.
Me: Donation?

My other pet peve is people who come into my shop complaining that they cansomething for a better priceon [insert some other Galaxy Here]. Well good for you but since you can't port it over to the galaxy I am on and use it there then why bring it up?
Now on the other hand I once met a wookie in Mos Entha and he was admiring my back pack. I told him I could make him one and named a price. He said reluctantly that he had to pass because he was just off the shuttle from the spacestation and he didn't have much money. But he would look me up some other time. For some reason I decided to give him a backpack. He thanked me and offered to trade me some newbie item or two for it. I declined and said to him that if he should ever see a down an out twi'lek merchant in the street of Mos Entha in the future he should offer him shuttle fare home. He laughed and said he would. Two weeks later in Anchorhead in walks the wookie still wearing his backpack, Thanking me for it and paying me the price I had quoted two weeks earlier. (Unfortunately a server crash ended our chat and I haven't seen him since but THAT was a nice experience)

As long as we are complaining....how about when you log in, and before you can even stand up you have 3 tells from customers? Don't people realize half the time you aren't even in game yet?? Give me a freaking minute LOL!

OMG I can relate to this all especially weaponsmith questions from silly people.
Its hard answering the same questions as soon as you log on from people who arent willing to make the effort to be helpful.
I have lost customers because I was out, taking a break NOT CRAFTING and they needed to know every detail one at a time just to insult my work and say Im not good anymore. Im tired of being a slave to my desire to please people. I wanna little patience and kindness sometimes. This should not be too much to ask..... but it is most of the time.

Another thing that gets to me is the constant 'your out of X' because Joe Shmoe cant use a vendor like a bazaar and use the tabs and seconds pages. I get too many tells saying Im out of stuff because it wasnt the fisrt darn thing they saw when my vendor listed the items.
