I have asked. I haven't gotten an answer. If I do I"ll let you know. The best thing you can do at this point is create an official record of it with a CSR ticket. I'm not saying they will compensate you, I am saying having a ticket on it doesn't hurt.
First it would be nice if they would just fix the bug..
Hmm.. or admit the bug exists?

Hats off to everyone for being so patient as we have to keep repeating ourselves, Chataka especially.

From the response to my ticket, it sounds like they will reimburse you for your loss with credits if you can tell them item by item what you lost. Unfortunately, this isn't possible for most merchants because we simply don't know which hundreds of items we lost.
More importantly, it's not about the money. It's the time and effort spent in creating those items.I think the devs need to come up with a creative way to compensate us other than credits. Credits don't mean much anyways.

It hurts me rather physically. Supressing my rage sufficiently to write a polite note makes my chest hurt. So does keeping track of my losses.
They really need to do something that does not require us to crawl before their power.
They won't compensate us, as "most people are not affected by this".

I finally actually was able to physically create a ticket, and have a list of my 415 lost items, but the list is too long to fit in the allocated space! I'll be curious to see how that's dealt with....
Put the rest of it in additional notes. You can reply to it as often as you like.

Er... they have admitted it exists.

You have no idea how difficult it was to get to that point...
They do now admit it exists..a producer thinks it doesn't affect most people..but they do admit it exists.
Now the next step is them admitting that they know what the problem is and giving us a time it will be repaired
he is right most people are not merchants....this is SoEs' stupendous logic we are talking about :/

Have they? So far I see them investigating, and gathering information.. I haven't seen them say "Yes, there is a bug that deletes your vendor items at the 14-day mark."
Well anyhow.. just splitting hairs.. :-)

Is it just me, or does this seem like some sort of crazed 12-step program for MMORPG's?
Admit there is a problem, find the problem, fix the problem on Test, fix the problems the fix creates on Test, say that it's fixed on Live but forget to copy the code over, *really* fix it on Live, put it in the patch notes on Live.. how many steps is that?
Whew, I'm tired!
