Do you have to be on the same server boundry? Can you leave your droid in Bestine and go to a different city or planet ?

No clue. I left it wandering around Bestine Starport for a while, while I watched (maybe half an hour to an hour). Then I stored it and messed around with my new combat R3 droid (nearly 5k ham on that thing!, I believe it's something like 4,400 HAM)

Testing has confirmed that the droid will stay out and barking as long as the owner is logged in. You can travel to another city or even another planet without worry. Once the battery gets low, he will stop barking though.

Can SpamDroids be /addignore'd? would be even cooler is known spammer's on my /addignore list who were using SpamDroids were already blocked. I can't fight the NS's because one attack will eventually bypass my armour and insta-gib me, i can't get of my vehicle without warped in excess of 150m, but Spammers can broadcast their crappy wares on their vendor's to bother everyone ...... and just to think this clam is in place of the combat rebalance ..... anyone else really pissed at SOE

I did notice the battery drains fairly fast. In the hour or so I had mine out it was already at 70%

Um.. they fixed the Armor hole in this publish apparently.

I can give you a workaround for the warping... (Wave before you dismount..you won't warp)

And the droids only speak once every 60 seconds and they don't "Yell" AND they are limited to 128 characters and their battery dies fairly quickly.

So .. no I"m not really all that pissed at SOE.

Doc... I think merchant barker is semi-broken.

My droid will be silent for like 5 minutes, and then say the message 5 times in a row really fast

I'm following it around the cantina... no message... no message... no message... and then "LA LA LA LA LA BAMBA" x 5!

right now my 3P0 Protocol droid is wandering around Bestine Starport telling everyone "LA LA LA LA LA LA BAMBA"

I went to coronet last night, figuring that would be a good place to check out the new barking droids. There were plenty wandering around in front of the starport, but I couldnt find one that said anything. All the ones I examined only had the examine function available. Only guess is that they were all out of juice, which seemed pretty odd to me.

If they only had the examine option available I don't believe they were Merchant Barker droids. The "Get Waypoint" option should be there regardless of the battery power of the droid. Catch me in game and I'll let you play with mine /grin
