This Merchant nerf is UNACCEPTABLE.
There are numerous threads on all servers, and this Merchant Board. You seriously need to take a look at them.
I personally will be moving on to another game (3 Chars) if this goes through. I run Three business through my Master Merchant. Armorsmith, Artisan and Loot items, as well as my own resource vendor. Add them up and i ahve over 3,000 items on those vendors. And its hard enough to keep them stocked in the first place.
Do you guys not play this game. I know the Merchant Cooespondant has too.......are you seriously not relaying the messages from the players Doc? This is not goingto go over well.
Seriously DEV's......you need to re-think this rather quickly.
Everyone SPEAK UP and let your voice be heard.

I won't leave but I definitely rethink on whether I want to sell items in the game or not.
It will be near impossible to keep the vendor stocked, and it will be a very limited stock of items at that. No more business diversification for sure. I definitely do not want to be forced to log in every night with a CHORE of restocking the vendors. This is a game, not a chore. This kills any fun factor in being a merchant.

Lots of people will stop running vendors. Say good-bye to resource vendors, loot vendors, well stocked vendors, etc.
110 item cap for a MASTER MERCHANT?!? Sheesh.

I agree that a single Master Merchant vendor can only hold 110 items, is absurd. I wouldn't even want such a low number at the Artisan Business 3 level vendor.
For some this will be the straw that broke the camels back, as it were, and others will be collecting their hat and heading for the door. Is there nothing else more important for the developers of SWG to be working on. If this group of devs here didn't then maybe they should go help their coworkers work on a more meaningful probelm.
For me personally I am tired of putting up with some of the pitiful bugs and countless examples of SOE not caring for the customer or utter lack of caring for the game itself. As for an ultimatum, I shall go quietly into the night...

lol, the devs are not only beefing up jedi's, but nerfing everyone else, to include merchants. This is too funny for me to even get mad at just yet.

I would really like to think that the devs will reconsider this number before it goes live.
It is almost 12:00 pm cst for me right now and the number of people complaining already is pretty wild. Think about what it will be like when more folks find out about this nerf tomorrow.

Good news is....it's in TESTING.
I have not lost all faith in the Devs. This can be fixed before it's live.
As a Chef...I sell the not-so-popular foods in crates of 5...unless I want an entire vendor of one kind of food, I will have to find a place to store all the other crates I make....or start making smaller runs that require more running around than anything else. I don't mind working for a living (such is the nature of the world), but I don't want to come to my home-away-from-home here and have to work harder than I do IRL. Where will find time to do anything else in game? Especially those of us that aren't hard-core, every dayers??
I appreciate the nod to the profession and would enjoy some changes....but these limits are very scary.

Ok, that's it. I am sick of watching the people who actually DO work for us take it up the backside from ungrateful people.
/rant on
While I agree that this new vendor limitation sucks, just flat out sucks, and there are better, more fair ways to start resolving their database issues, attacking the correspondents is NOT the way to react to this situation. Take a deep breath and read Doc's posts in this forum, he is sympathetic, understanding, and working FOR us, not against us. Do you really think he has conrtol over the situation? His job is to inform the devs of what we, the players want, relay information between us and the devs and back to us, and field questions about the profession from those of us who play in it. He is NOT our whipping boy, leave him and the other correspondents alone...PLEASE.
I don't know Doc personally, I have never even had more than a 2 post conversation with him, but I do know he and the other correspondents are doing what they can. Their hands are tied if the devs refuse to listen. They are not miracle workers, they are ombudsmen, and they are doing what they are supposed to do.
You are a Community Leader with almost 2000 posts, you have been in game and on the boards a while now, you should know by now that the correspondents' options are limited. You also have the ability to edit your post. Do Doc a favor and remove him from the post because he certainly does not deserve your venemous attitude. None of this was his fault.

Ditto. Doc's one of the most active correspondents in this game. Ease up... put blame where blame is due.
