Um, yeah, so how come the game won't let me name my vendor "Imperial Structures"???

It's telling me to try something less obscene. Unless you're a rebel sympathizer, what's obsence about that???

I was literally naming in "Imperial Structures" minus the quotes... no funky characters all at.

I even tried "Imperial Deeds" no luck.

It's fine with apostrophes because it's used to be "T'jun's Deeds and Droids"

Oddly enough "Chicken and Waffles" worked fine.

HAHAHAH!!! You should have left it as that. If I was running by and saw a place called "Chicken and Waffles," I'd totally have to go inside and check your vendors out and probably buy something out of sheer appreciation.

I tried to name my vendor "Avah's Lovely Assistant" (I'm not on the planetary map yet, obviously), and the obscenity filter got me, too. Turns out you can't have the letters a-s-s on the beginning of a word for a vendor name.

This amuses me because the house right next to me is called "Godasse's House of Orgies." Different obscenity filter, apparently.

While I agree that the word "Imperial" is quite obscene ... ... the word filters are a bit...overzealous at times. Its rather funny to see how many actual obscenities are allowed tho...if exploring the more interesting areas of the english language

Right -- whether the word is actually obscene, or just reserved (like "Imperial"), you get the same error message; it doesn't differentiate.

The one that had me going around in circles was the inability to use numerals when naming apersonal harvester-- "0", "1", "2", etc. I understand that we don't want people naming themselves or things in LeetSpeak, but for the life of me I couldn't figure out why "Flatfingers Mining Rig 1" wasn't permitted until someone kindly explained it to me.

Wouldn't it be nice to see rules like these written up somewhere? *cough*

The word 'wookiee' is also considered to be obsene. Some subtle specism against wookiees perhaps.

As for the harvester thing, they changed the harvester naming rules. You can now have numbers, puncuation, and colours, in your harvester name. So might be worth checking the name again.

You mean I can stop using roman numerals to number my harvesters?

Sir, it's quite possible that this game is not entirely stable.

"Not entirely stable." Well, I'm glad you're here to tell us these things. Chewie! Take the professor in the back and plug him into the patch server!
