Thread: This means war
I need to grind a little tonight... rather than throw all those cute little gun barrels away, I figure I'll put em up for sale for 1 cr.
Along with anything else folks are grinding on. I plan on filling my vendors to capacity with little 1 cr item trinkets. And having as many folks as possible offer 20 1 cr items to them... as well as filling up their stockrooms with lil items.

Running my shop was the only joy I got from thisbusted up game...
I was planning on doing something similar if/when the patch goes in, which it seems that now it has....
I'll be placing "tickets" in the form of my weaponsmith xp grinding barrels each with a number associated with it. That number will have a corresponding weapon hanging on my wall. A person will buy the ticket and then I will contact them to work out a time to pick up the actual weapon.
In theory, I'll factory produce my best experiment runs on my most popular items, that way I'll have multiple tickets for a single item type. That way, I only have to worry about hanging one on the wall as an example while I keep the rest in storage. For bigger ticket items, I'll have unique tickets per item.
This system sucks and will take a great deal more time to setup each sale, but it's all they've left us to work with.
I just hope my customers are understanding when it comes to my new "mail-order business" ![]()
I guess what we will see happening in SWG is something like what happened with UO where people set up website shops outside the game.
You buy the goods on the website and they e-mail you to arrange the trade at a bank of your choice (Note, this is not eBaying, its just a way to arrange in-game trades for in-game money and get around vendor costs).
I have an idea...
There should be a "Nerf Vendor Fees" post. It is clear that those are read ASAP, and most are acted on soon after.
j/k
oookay.. so.. the mornic-lets-screw-merchants-with-ungodly-high-maintenance-fees are in right now? ugh...
I don't think the fees went in, at least not on Chilastra. I just checked my vendors, and I'm still showing a maintenance rate of 0.
I'll hold my fire until I know what's going on.
They don't appear to be up on Chilastra. Did some testing over several ''ticks'' and didn't see the fee change from one credit.
Added some items, removed some, paid some maintance... didn't appear to have any effect.
Reports are they had, I am sorry if I was wrong, people are posting that they have repair bills at log in.
Sorry
My vendor and all vendors in my PA are still 1 credit. Maybe it wasn't a retroactive fix? I don't have extra vendor space to check, maybe someone else can?
Just made a brand new npc vendor. 1 credit maintence on 100k value on the vendor. Someone cried wolf this morning me thinks.
