Hi,
Items per lot, items in structures as well as lots and stuff like that should NEVER be altered by ANY professions skills.
Those things have to be equally spreaded throughout the chars, no matter what they have skilled.
Because of this, its a no go for me.
Well, A PVPer does not really need as much storage as a a crafter...

We are talking about Merchant here, not about crafters. And I have the strange feeling that even PvPers will not like the idea that a single class gets more lots.
In fact, the Merchant class is not a crafting class. There is no need to have ressources or items on a large stock, cause you can put stuff in your Vendors, where they should reside, cause a Merchant usually wants to sell his stuff.
It is the wrong aproach to request something other classes may or may not need to be provided by a class which does not need it. Beside the fact, I know a lot of PvPers who have even more Items than most crafter needs. Some things in the game dont depend on the class, race or gender, Items and Lots are one of those.
The request for more lots is as old as SWG itself. And there is no way to provide more lots to a specific class, not even to Architects, without other classes feeling cheated on.
I know it would be great to have more lots and items, and I fully support the idea of more items, but not this way.
But I only speak for myself here.

the suggestion was never about more lots... it was about more space in a house and still utilizing the current 10 lots that everyone is given... every prof has to have a reason to want to play it... and because of skill points you have to determine what is important to you and if the points are worth it... if PvP'ing is important and so is having a ton of stuff in your house, then maybe dropping the pistoleer with your fencer to pick up artisan and merchant is what you do... everyone can't have everything the same all the time... merchant has been a JOKE prof since launch... people dropping the profession and still using vendors... it was a throw-away profession with the biggest highlight was -20% structure maintainance... i don't see anything wrong with merchant getting some extra perks that make it a little more difficult to not pick up and possibly mess up that so well balanced combat template... should find a way whether it be lockers or storage containers or possibly even storage containers that are specific to what they hold like weapon racks and deep freezers for a chef, ranger or be's extra meats and hides... just my two credits
