Thread: New medic needs help
Im new and i was just wondering what should i do to gain expirience? Im novice and just picked up the skill. Should i just get stimpack A's and start healing people or what? Also can i even use other stimpacks on people or do i have to wait till i gain lvls?

Make lots of stimpak-A
Go to a cantina and heal the entertainers. They use alot of action points when dancing which you can heal. Its the fastest way to get xp as a newbie.
Ahh, the "Pet Medic XP EXPLOIT" ...
At least I consider it an exploit because it's just such a cheesy, fast, CHEAP, ghettoway to level up in medic/doctor skills doing it. I wonder what the devs were thinking when they implemented this, ... if it was intentional or by accident. If I tell all the newbies how to do it, then hopefully all the newbies will be doing it and the devs will take notice of this "exploit" and fix it, ...
THE PET MEDIC XP EXPLOIT
Acquire a crapload of Stimpack B's. Acquire a pet with 2000+ HAM, perhaps one of those Spineflap Hand Maidens, or CUPAs. Send it out to its death against a creature that cons red, ... something like a sludge panther. Stand at a safe distance. Wait until it dies. It shouldn't take long for it to die. After it's dead, store it in your datapad. Call it again. It will have zero HAM.
Now you've got an instant patient to practice your medic skills and receive XP for healing. You don't have to run back to the city. You don't have to run to the medical center. You don't have to run to the cantina. You don't even have to talk to another human being. Everything you need to level up in your medical skills is in your datapad. This system is even more efficient if you've got a creature with 4000+ HAM.
You should be amaster medicin only a few hours, and perhaps a master doctor in a day or two, ... all without talking to ONE smelly human being online.
It's perfect for the antisocial types.
So now you know, let's hope the devs fix the GLARING problem as soon as possible.

Master medic in hours and master doctor in days? Well **edit** how cool is that. And here i thought i had to grind my way through crafting, what was i thinking?!?!?
Jayden_s are you even in the medical proffesion? If so how did you get all your crafting xp? How did you get your own creature as a newbie before the patch? Inquiring minds want to know!!!!

I'm a creature handler and master medic.
I filled up one medic skill box from healing players in the cantina, and I filled the remaining 16 boxes up by healing my pet without any interaction with any other players.
It's that easy. It shouldn't be.
Regarding the crafting XP, ... I crafted my stimpack B's and used them to heal my pet.
I had to heal her with something, ...
Ok, so to be more realistic of a time frame you would have to add in the time it took you to get to creature handler. I just dont want a newbie to the game think they can just start as a medic and master it that quickly.
People complain that medic is easy to master, but most of them have gone other directions first. Trying to earn master medic isnt that easy or that fast. You still have to add in the time for missions to make money, crafting time, and the time it takes sometimes to find patients.
