5 cities on 2 planets and not ONE of them had a healer of any kind in the friggin hospital. How is this going to be addressed? I'm not paying a subscription fee to run around the galaxy looking for another player just to get my wounds healed so I can actually play.

Do your part to give healers reason to actually hang out there. Seriously, it's not that to sit idly waiting for patients to come trickling in.

Tip generously. Be courteous. Treat healers as if you're receiving a valuable and needed service from them, and not as something that is expected or required of them. Do not take them for granted. Push for other kinds of benefits that would encourage healers to hang out, such as crafting stations, increased crafting experience inside a medical center, medic missions that reward hospital service, etc. If a healer looks like he is in a state of abyssmal boredom, maybe a kind word or a short conversation might be just the thing to convince him that it's actually worth it to hang out and heal and not do the AFK-tumbling or AFK-crafting thing.

If you're hinting that you want some NPC to do your healing for you, don't hold your breath.

Honestly, there hasn't been much word on how things will be improving for medics any time soon. So the best thing you can do right now is take matters into your own hands and find ways to encourage healers to hang out, because the developers don't seem to have anything significant for us in the works. (Seriously, I hope I'm wrong about this)

I've found lately that there's been a general lack of wounds to heal. End of last month I was in Theed med center (weekend, early evening EST) and apart from a half hour busy spell it was generally dead (I'm guessing that people are logging on and getting set up ready for the evening).

Now I can either sit twiddling my thumbs or go and do something a little more productive. Going and running destroy missions for a little cash will win every time over sitting and waiting. I have no interest in healing AFK tumblers anymore and only craft when I need to. To be honest a steady trickle of people now and then would encourage me to set up camp but it generally doesn't happen. So if you want more medics around the place; get wounded or die more often!!

I'm in complete agreement with Jagii. We are people that pay for a subscription to do what we want with as well, and we dont always want to be in the hospital. Plainly put, just as combat profs change what uber l33t npc they hunt, so do we medics/docs change where we heal. Also,it does get old to sit around and wait for people to come in hurt, so sometimes we set off to go find people ourselves.

I have a totally new character on bria who is not going to have any medic ability. This is what I do to find medical help when there is nobody in the hospital.I go to the cantina and strike up a conversation with people. If there isnt any medics healing for xp, then I talk to someone else who is injured and ask who they go to for heals. If theres nobody in there watching the entertainers, then chat up a dancer, they see everyone coming in and out all day, so chances are they know someone who can help.Once I finally got to a doc or a medic I was sure to thank them, tip them well and not mention what an ordeal it was to find them. My newness to the server is not their emergency, so I dont bother themwith the crap, because I want them to remember me well and be available in the future. If you see a medic or docrandomly in a city, send them apolite tell, more often than not they will assist you, I know I would. You have to network in this game to get anywhere, its designed to be social and have the players rely on each other.

As a doc on Kauri I find its much more about establishing relationships with people than simply treating your skills as a service to bought.I like knowing my friends will refer people to me, and I honor that by making myself available to anybody that asks nicely, regardless of what they tip. So brush that combat chip off your shoulder and start playing nice with thosein a position to help you!

Another idea is tomake a channel for healing. On Chilastra, we havea channel so that those of us who actually do sit around in medical centers can communicate. It's a little more entertaining, plus with the new GCW changes, you can call your Rebel or Imperial friend over to heal anybody that you can't heal yourself. I suppose you can also tell fighters about your channel, but you better make sure you don't get some idiot who'd ruin everything by spamming for buffs.

Hi, I am on Ahazi server and in the past usually triedto hang out at the Mos Eisley Medical center to heal people. Lately I have been guilty of not spending that much time there. I'm finding it difficult to spend the time there healing people while getting no tips much less a thank you. I do not expect new players to tipbut some of more experiencedguys that are coming in there use up a lot of my items. Then after the healing, they run out. I am searchable and usually run around with my Master Medic tag on so that people can see me and write my name down for future help.

I don't want to sound like I am a Medic to make lots of money, I am not. Tips would help me buy resources to craft my items that I use for healing and a thank you would keep me in the Med center longer.

As new medic on infinity I can only agree. It has annoying in the extreme to spend 2hrs in the hospital healing over 20 people some of them with literally half their bar gone due to wounds and to receive not a single thankyou let alone a tip.

It is sometimes better the other night I was on for 30 mins and gots loads of thankyous and tips just depends.

It doesn't help that people don't tip their medics anymore. Last time I sat in the med center healing peoples wounds, only a few tipped me anything at all. It's just not worth my time to sit in there and be broke.

That's why I charge at least 10K for any wound healing. If they complain I just let them know that I have to charge since there are no Medic Missions. If you want a medic to heal you, try offering some credits and see how it goes.

Every time I go into a Medical Center any more, I see a couple of people "Tip Tumbling" and 4 or 5 people with combat profession titles up stimming them to health.

As a 2/3/3/x medic, I made decent tip money healing people when I went into the med center to heal myself after a day of fighting or dying in space, so it didn't bother me. I'd stay until business died down. If those using the tip tumblers would actually heal, they'd get xp much faster.

I wish the Doc's doing buffs would do it in the Med Center, so that people who come in for disease heals could actually get healed.

I can't remember the last time I saw a Master Doc or Master Medic in a Med Center.....

I like some of the idea's here, though. A medical chat channel would be a great way to find those who are healing...

What happened when you asked for the money up front? Get a lot of **** you's? We really need Medic missions because relying on tips will never let me break even. Although, I got 25k the other day for responding to a tell, running to the Med Center and healing a guy. Funny thing is that there were two tumblers and alot of AFK healers (couple of new docs's in the mix).

To me one of the best ways to get people to flock to the hospital almost instantly is to force doctors to buff in hospitals only. This way they would have a steady population, It would make more sense as I wouldn't want some doctor on the street stuffing needles into me. Also Hospitals should have some kind of bonus associated with them. For example they should add a percentage bonus to healing speed, wound amounts, and reduce mind cost.

But theres the problem with the "mobile hospital" droids that let you do all this stuff anywhere you want.
