Been a while since I've thought of 'Medic Only' issues...

lessee...

The jump in resources from A level to B level, and then C level?

The uselessness of Pharm I and II?

Anything that isn't Doc/CM/ BE only... Fundimental stuff... so no buffs or poisons.. but overall healing stuff that affects Docs/CMs/BE's too is fine.

I have my old list (edited out the fixed stuff).. and I'll pirate stuff offa Zarlor's list... I ahve a few other things written on index cards at home...

It is very quiet there lately... people graduated to the other boards and don't post here much (I'm sooo lonely /sniff).

Because I'm evil, I'd like to push different things than Doc /CM (so we can get more stuff covered at once...) but i'll be happy to put up a report that overlaps...

Thing is, whatever effects the Medic Profession will eventually effect the Doctor, CM and BE profession(Although BE to a lesser extent). Once people get past Medic and into an Elite or Hybrid class, they tend to forget about the Medic Profession and focus on Doc/CM/BE issues.

I'm guilty of this myself.

But, after so many months of being a Medic in Beta, I should have a few issues somewhere that I can find to post up for you.

I'll see what I can find when I get home, Traig

Lol, thanks.

Yeah, this board is very empty. (As you can see, by us both being the only people in this thread so far.) That's why I read all of the boards for medic type professions.

I actually take it as proof that medic XP is too fast lol.

I'll be listing the medic top 5 on friday and hauling it over to the devs. then.

I'll have a big list up before then.

Honestly, most people seem to be moving over to the doc and CM boards, and the issues are getting more chat time over there.

Currently our top 3 post subjects are.
1.) I have limited points, which skill boxes shoudl I buy.
2.) What should I sell Stim B's for?
3.) What materials should I use to make meds?

The forth most common topic is threads started by BHs! Asking about healing.

I'll be switching over to a vote system, like Zarlor is using, but probably won't get it organized for this time around.

I'll also be trying to get Docs and CM's to come back and visit us... for reasons other than paddign the votes.

So post up your issues, what bothers you the most? Throw them in this thread for me to see, and feel free to start a topic as well.

Yeah the things I listed aren't issues, but they are the most posted things here.. by a large margin.

Most of the debates have drifted up to DOc/CM boards.

Not a lot of people stay in medic, or stay on this board.

Hey! I was on my way home from work, that's why I hadn't posted.

For me I would say the big Medic Issues would be (and you can sabotage the Doc list for most of the info on these):

1)/medicalforage, just because it takes such a toll on new Medics and it take a lot of work to show them how to do things in the profession when they can't even get the resources they need to make their very first stim.

2) TEF problems.

3) Experimentation problems

4)Money

5) Targeting Self/Freindlies

6) Med Center Grouping

7) Crafting Schematics

Yea, whats up with not having a medical mission terminal!?

How hard could that be, AND it would bring some money into my poor profession.

Very true I just picked up Medic skills last night, and if it was not for the fact im a decently off toon I would have hated the initial cost of getting into this profession. The main thing I am still learning are what some of the tools we make used for because the description on the items when you examine them is less then poor. Luckly there was another medic who was nice enough to answer some of my questions about stim pack usage, and when are the best times to use which type of healing treatment. My main suggestion would be a better description on items as to what they do for a new person to understand, and also to fix medical forage because frankly its horrid. I also like the one persons Idea about medical mission terminals.

Well, I dont think that anything that you listed is really an "issue" with the medic profession.

Only issues that I see are the following:

1) Medical Forage: Do I really need to say more? I think people have just given up on it, and who can blame em.

2) First Aid; Healing Bleeds: This should improve as you improve, maybe even add a First Aid Wound Pack.

3) (As long as were starting to get picky) The ability to target friendly PC's. When you have all these people running around wild, it sure would be nice to have an option to target them, even if they are not in your group.

Well, thats all I can think of for now.

Targeting, TEFs and experimentation problems really are a bother pretty much every day.

I'd also think healing variance would be a good medic issue. Nothing I hate more than healing 700 on a 800 power stim.
