I went into the hospital in Corellia last night looking to be healed, but as I have some Medic skills I took the opportunity to heal whoever needed it.

My first heal, for which I got a massive 42xp, was instantly met by a shout by another player saying "Will whoever is healing Leesbug (I think this was the name, apologies if it is incorrect) please stop". I then replied Sorry, and was met with a response of "I've paid for this, this is a private deal".

I responded in a polite manner, saying "If it is a private deal you should go somewhere private" and the response was "Shut the FCUK up" from the healer (not Leesbug). I then said "No need to be so arrogant" and was bombarded with some rant like "You must be age 8 or something" and "come back when your balls drop".

Leesbug then started going into a rant also and someone pointed out that I could really have annoyed them by continuing to heal. I did not continue but next time I think I will give some back.

So please, if you do arrange a healing deal, please do so outside the Hospital. Cause, if you are in the hospital and tumbling, then do you expect the Medics to ignore you.

This has been my only bad experience in SWG...so next time I will heal the arrogant tossers till I'm blue in the face !!

This is one of the reasons I only heal people that ask first. Getting xps can be a pain at times, but the xps isn't worth dealing with people like this. Chances are that someone else with walk in soon and be happy for anyone to heal them.

I have not experienced this, but expect I will soon. People think that just because this is an online game that they can be rude; there is such a thing as netiquette, people.

One thing I do before I jump in and heal someone is to ask them if they want their wounds healed. This way they can tell me if someone else is healing them or not. Another thing that I have found useful is, when healing tumblers, to ask periodically if someone needs wounds healed. I sometimes don't see everyone come in and I know some people just sit down and wait for a medic or doc to come over, this way they can tell me if they need healing or not.

I'm sorry you had to have even this bad experience, but remember that you are playing with people and people are stupid.

If you're on the main floor of the medical center and you're tumbling, you better believe that whoever there is going to heal you. If you stand in a mostly-public area and tumble, surrounded by medics/doctors, you better believe you're gonna get healed by anyone that notices you. If you have PAID someone to tumble for you, get the freak out of the public area. Go to your house, go upstairs to level 2 or level 3. Don't stand around with everyone else. That's just naive.

There's no sign saying that you've paid that dude to tumble for you. You're in a freakin' medical center for the love of pete.

I dunno. This isn't such a problem on our server. I learned tumbling myself so that I can tumble while healing in the medical center. The way I see it, if I'm tumbling, then there's one more person for the others to heal, so that I can get some healing in for myself.

I had to sign up just to reply to this thread

I was also in the same place at the same time last night and saw it all, I did giggle cause it was like being 10 years old in the playground again

(I was the wookie sitting in on the bed opposite them)

I am fed up with all this crap also

Just play the bloody game how its supposed to be played whats the point in doing what most people do?

I was sitting patently waiting for "real" people to come in so I could heal etc etc etc (just started medic)

which some people was suprised about when i spoke to them and healed them

and dont get me going on all these bloody AFK'ers something has to be done about all them, theres more AFK than real people playing !!!!!!

we managed to moan for 2 hours about them

If he was that abusive I would report him. It's so not needed there are people of all ages playing the game and although some ppl will go down the street F-ing and blinding most don't put them in front of a computer and it seems all they can type is $*&! ( Look you got me at it now ). I also wish ppl would PLAY the game and not AFK, why pay monthly to play AFK, I'm at a loss.

Find a vigilante Doc next time

I hate people like that personally and I'd have healed his wounds then buffed him. But thats only in extreme cases.
