Thread: Just when you think nobody tips...
I totally despise sitting in the med lab healing wounds. For those of you that do it, your crazy. lol ... dunno how you do it, but those of you that do are the ones that deserve the tips... I could care less if someone tips me. I easily solo imperial destroy missions because I can heal myself ( gain about 1500 rifle XP per mission if not more ) plus I get a decent amount of faction points and some cash..
My only complaint is people charging so much for resources. I wont go higher than 5 credits a resource, and even 5 credits per i'll be hesitant to do.
Last night I was able to pick up 750 iron and 500 petrochemical for just about 3 credits each... the organics on the other hand were all almost over 10 credits a peice which is crazy... this will more than likely be the way I get my resources.... harvestors are nice if you can get a good location... but I also can't gather the money needed to upkeep the maintanaince anymore cause i've gained so much rifle XP, that the gnort missions are no longer availible to me ( even if i equip a low lvl weapon, or no weapon at all )
I think one of the problems with the tip issue is that some players feel that taking 10 mins of their time to heal some1 deserves a tip...i completely agree...
but i know now that since i have gotten wound treatment IV and wound pack C, it makes me no longer than 3 mins to get some1 in and out of the medcenter with even complete black bars...thus i spend less time just sitting there healing which i found makes me less frustrated at no getting tips..I remember when i was master medic i used to get very frustrated sitting in front of some1 for 10 mins to heal them and getting nothing...
I bet u find it a lot less of a problem getting no tips when u are only spend 1-3 mins on a person...
the more and more doc training i get, the more i realize med centers is not really the place for medics...I can get 300-800 xp a wound heal now...
You know, I don't even worry about making money any more.
It's tough when you are starting out for sure. But you show some bedside manner, talk to the players, talk to the other docs in the med center, keep things loose and light, get your skills up, and your tipping rate will increase. I gurrantee it.
The other trick is to pick a good med center. Some cities are more popular amongst a tougher crowd (ie those with money), some cities have too many medics/doctors in a given med center at any point. It's all in flux. If I'm heading out to my house or harvester, I'll grab two missions in that direction. Quick cash ![]()
Maintainance feesÂare where the money gets sucked out of our virtual economy, missions are where it gets injected back in. Everything inbetween is just passing monopoly money between players.
Â
you are supposed to hire combat people to protect you when you check your harvester Slothy ,)
or you could just switch over to CM and come to Gorath you wannabe-Ewok! ![]()
