Thread: Big list of medic issues/bugs (Thursday July 31, 2003)
Is anyone having this same problem.
When crafting medical supplies either at the food and chemical station or by your droid. Over half the experiment results in critical errors. I never had this many critical errors even as a novice medic. Now that im a Master Medic crafting Stims -C i dont think it should happen as much now!
any ideas will be welcome!
Why can't my medic heal others in combat with non-creatures?
If the medic wishes to heal and draw aggro, that should be his choice. The fact that I can't heal people fighting people-type mobs doesn't make sense to me. I can't even heal my own group members. Now I could be doing something wrong, but I don't know what it is. Perhaps someone can tell me; otherwise, I definitely want this changed.
are you neutral? (non-faction aligned). This happens with heals and trades and I suspect it is related to NPC factions. When this occurs, you can't trade or heal until the TEF wears out. My personal opinion is that this is a bug, and NPC factions should not affect whether you can heal or trade.
After declaring, I haven't encountered this problem again.
The problem with neutrals healing overt is well known...if this happened all healers in pvp would be neutral and unkillable while healing overts...would be silly since u could never kill the healer helping the overt...
now trading is a different issue...should let u trade no matter what....
OK, this facrion bug is a little less trivial than you think Elanora. I am completely neutral and I can't heal many people who are also neutral because "It would be unwise...". While I agree that if you are healing an overt in a pvp battle you should be a target, any other time your duty is still to tend the wounded. It is a major hindrance to be the only medic in a group of 8 and only being able to heal 3 or 4 of them because of a bug. I'm working towards Combat Medic, but what use is it if I can't keep my people alive?

as a neutral you can not heal a covert if he has a TEF or an overt.
the main problem here is that you can't see if you got a TEF and where you got it from, not that you can't heal someone with a TEF which is intended and rightfully so.
The most recent case was a fort tusken assault, it took 15 minutes for the group to get there and nobody engaged anything butcreatures the whole way out there. Are the empire and Rebels recruiting kreetles now?
I was told optional components on private crafting stations have no affect at all. I don't think that the experimentation value on a private crafting station has any affect either. If either of the two statements is true then why isn't this item on the list. Crafters should have a way to reduce failure rate when experimenting on a higher quality private crafting station. And if the original design was to allow optional components to increase the number of experiment points that can be used, then why wasn't it ever implemented. Both of these items should be on the list unless they are functioning as intended.
Can we PLEASE get a way to target ourselves?
I'm used to being in a trio hunting some large (size wise) animals. We'll be running around and I'll get agro (either from multiple incoming mobs, random agro or a misplaced specialty shot) howeverthe creature is so big that when I try to click the ground (the only way I know to easily target 'myself' for heals) it ends up selecting the creature and I getthe 'You can only heal players...' message and I'll end up incapped or dead in situations where I'd live if I could just target myself and put the heal in queue.
Caliwyrm, two ways to easly heal damage on your self.
1: Target yourself with Ctrl-1 (with the default keymapping)
2: Make a marco with: /healdamage self This will always heal you no matter what you have targeted.
Hope that helps you out.

Ah, much thanks.. I figured there had to be an easier way..
One question tho: I carry multiple packs on me (Ranged Cs, Stim Ds and Stim Bs for when I get bored and hang out in the Cantina)--Any idea on which ones /healdamage self would consume first?
