Tiaga is referring to 2 people participating in this macro. 1 person does something (i know but not sharing) and loses health. The medic heals. the person keeps doing this something and the medic keeps healing.

I myself have done this thing, but not AFK. Its quite good xp and its something to do when no one is in med center and medics are bored.

I think macros are useful tools, since there are days when I don't have much energy and I just want to get online and set up a macro and chat. But as a general rule, when I'm being a medic or an entertainer, I like to interact with the people...my favorite trick is to go into the cantina in my party cloths and heal the performers.

I heal the NON-afk performers first though, because they might actually talk to me. I still heal afk guys, but they are pretty boring.

My real beef with performer macros is that they all end up playing their own tunes, and it sounds like an orchestra tuning up, so I usually switch to a group that is all there and using /band commands...then they sound GOOD.

So anyway, I don't have a huge problem with macros, but I prefer not to use them, or hang out with people using them. What's the point of playing if you don't PLAY. But I have to admit I do tend to take a nap while I'm sampling and use a stick to tap the esc key whenever I wake up.

Medical macros for going AFK.....Hmm....

Well, macros are put into the game by the developers for people to use. As long as you are using the ones SOE provides, and not something that will crash the system, they don't have a problem with it, and neither do I. My idea of fun is actually having conversations and going out to the boonies and healing folks. If someone else wants to go AFK and throw healing bombs at the Entertainers, that is his idea of fun. If you can't heal up the entertainers, then go elsewhere....or come and play on my server, where frequently we can't find a Medic, Doc or Combat Medic in Mos Entha, Mos Eisely, Tyrena, Kaadara, etc. after 10 P.M. Trust me, you will get lots of business there!

Macros are just a tool, people are needed to actually play the game....
