A recent thred here got me thinking aobut what macros I use, want to use and what other folks are using.

In the field I like the following for in combat:

/peace;/follow;/pause 3;/healdamage

The only problem with that one is that it just grabs a stim and I haven't figured out how it decides which to take yet. So you may just want the peace, follow part to follow someone to heal. The pause is simply to give you time to get to the patient.

I've also been thinking of the following:

Thanks for visiting us, but please go to the cantina to heal your mind wounds and battle fatigue before coming here.;/pause 2;Doing so will help to get you healed up and on your way much faster.

Not to mention many others that are just answers to frequently asked questions I often get from new medics or even just fighters wanting to just heal themselves.

What other macros ideas do you all have and/or use?

i have the BF message macroed as well...

also a macro that says "How many non-pool stat wounds do you have? Non pool stats are str, con, quick ,stam"

also Tips and resources are always welcomed. for when people ask me how to compensate me for my services...

the combat macro could be interesting..

but i like to click the stim im using directly allowing me greater control of what stim to use when...

i dont find i really need to macro for combat..it s not to hard to do just using the mouse..

there is no need to peace before healing. if you want you can make your macro clear the queue (don't remember the command for this) which will make you heal next.

actually clearing queue doensnt clear combat...only heal does..and /peace will reduce cmobat lag and let you heal faster...just clearing the queue will mean u auto attack instead of heal if your not fast enuff on the stim click...

Okay apparently you're right. =/ there is serious combat lag when healing.. I don't remember it being this bad in beta.

I've never used a /pause in a healing macro and 3 seconds is either going to be too much (patient already near) or too little (rifle-using patient)when you /follow. And you lose 3 seconds of combat XP if you're trying to raise a weapon skill

I'mjust a n00b in retail, but in beta Iworked with a /follow hotkey and a macro for /peace; /healdamage; /assist ... click on the patient, follow and hitthe macrowhen I neared the patient. Seemed quite reliable apart from the normal recovery time from the previous heal, and I got maximum combat XP. Plays havoc with battle music though

My favorite macro: Diagnose

/tendwound health;/tendwound strength;/tendwound constitution;/tendwound action;/tendwound stamina;/tendwound speed

Or per Lokee's suggestion on another thread you can make 2 of them:

Diagnose Health:

/tendwound health;/tendwound strength;/tendwound constitution

Diagnose Action:

/tendwound action;/tendwound stamina;/tendwound speed

--------------------

And then after orgainic III when you can make stat specific meds you can change the /tendwound to healwound or what i did is put a /healwound in front of a tendwound in case you run out of meds.

So my diagnose health macro ended up being:

/healwound health;/tendwound health;/healwound strength;/tendwound strength;/healwound constitution;/tendwound constistution

It ends up being spammy but if you watch the screen you'll see "you heal whoever for 12 strength" okay now you know to try strength manually when you're 30 seconds are up, and if /healwound fails for lack of meds there's a /tendwound right behind it to clue you in.

Hmm.. won't let me put the original url here to the diagnose threadbut it was How to diagnose stat wounds? started by Wendelius with contributions by Lokee and Wolfing on the macro

I just wanted to throw out anbn example of a full cacro and how you might make one. It could always be tailored for a particular group's style. Personally I don't use the macro at all. i find it just as easy to keep my pece key firght next to my follow key and I just click (or Ctrl-#) to my group member and slam down peace and follow in quick succession. Then I'm double-clicking the stimpack that I want to use, as I tendt o keep a variety for different situations, Not to mention the state-packs. It's easy to sort my incentory so I know where everything is and just go that way.

But for those that prefer using a macro, that's just an example. I could use the first prt ofthe macro to save me one extra key-click, but I just haven't bothered. It just shows how /pause could be used. You definitely make an excellent point that I really should have been clearer on.

Raz. Easiest way would be to just get (or make) stimpacks, figure out about how much you are stimming yoursefl for in a shot and you could use something like this:

/healdamage self;/pause 10;/healdamage self

Depedning on how effective the stim is you would probably raise that pause level quite a bit. Maybe even only ondce ever 30 or 60 seconds. Or with a high-end B pack even every 5 minutes or so. Depends on your rate of action loss and how much the stim will heal on average for you with you using it.

You could even just incoporate that into a flourish macro if you were using one. SOmething like:

/flo 1;/flo 2;/pause 5;/flo 3;/flo 4;/pause 5;/flo 6;/flow 7;/healdam self;/pause 5;/flo 8;/flo 1;etc

Just fitting your pauses where you need them and a headamage based on X number of pauses later(and I forget if the cycles for entertainer are 5 or 10 seconds apart.)

THese are just examples, and you will need to figure out what the proper timing is for you, since your action and mind levels and regen rates will make a difference on what the optimum timing will be for you.

A macro I use when I need resources fast (as opposed to sitting while AFK sampling) is to have a few Stim A in my pack and do /sample; /pause 60; /healdamage self; /pause 60; /healdamage self

etc etc

I change the wait depending on how good the meds are (longer if I experimented or shorter if I just made the meds in the field from bad quality resources)
