Okay, I'm 2 boxes away from Master Medic, one problem - I only have 170 APP xp. I have had 170 AP xp since Decmber. I play almost every night and haven't had the opportunity to train in TKA or Medic or CH in all that time.

So my question is how the hell am I supposed to start Doctor if I am stuck in Medic forever?

Less and less noobies are showing up out there and not as many people are dabbling in new professions as they used to.

I am having the same problems with my other two characters and am getting fed up with the whole APP xp system. Sooner or later they will have to change it because the in-flux of new players is going to hit a wall (if it hasn't already).

Do remeber that the favorite word of the DEVS is BALANCE yet they have no idea what it means.

A) Take Scouting and buy your App from someone letting you train Hunt1 or Explore1.

B) Take Marksman and buy your App from someone lettign you train Ranged1.

C) Pick up novice Entertainer, learn Image Design1....and find a partner to do the same......and then ID on each other for an hour or so....cross training for apprentice app.

Strange, I have mastered 4 professions in the last month and a half, I have no problem finding people to train.

I'd say it all depends on where you hang out and what you have to offer. I earned the bulk of my 1240 AP in about a week in Anchorhead. Just running missions, training everything from brawler, artisan, medic ect... I rarely train someone in elite professions (Smuggler/Pistoleer) Most of mine came from noob artisan/brawler skills. CH/TKA/Medic is fairly commmon sad to say, you just might not be very marketable

That's exactly my point, if my character is not marketable how am I supposed to advance in the game? Every night I shout out in every town I go in if there is anyone who needs training. No responses so far. I am slowly giving up my CH skills because I want Doctor, but I have been stuck for quite a while now and am now only 1 box away from having all Medic skills.

But...my character now has 200 APP xp because I trained someone in Survival 2 today. He happened to be right next to me when I logged on. So I need another 420 xp in a very short amount of time. But it doesn't look too good.

I am a master medic and I find the med center to be the only place to get ap. there are it seems to me an endless supply of aspiring medics and doctors. just gotta be quick to invite first. paying for ap is always an option but that was when i was master artisan.

www.dictionary.com 's definition:

A weighing device, especially one consisting of a rigid beam horizontally suspended by a low-friction support at its center, with identical weighing pans hung at either end, one of which holds an unknown weight while the effective weight in the other is increased by known amounts until the beam is level and motionless

Another thing you can do is ask around on your server. I currently have 3 novice skills I let people teach me for free, in one case over 400ap at no gain to me.

Hunting I
Pharmacology I(4/4/0/0 Medic, and not a single Skill Point for more) I've been capped on med xp for a while so I train this for whomever needs it. Fairly easy to get.
Ranged Support I-Easiest one to get, I've got loads of combat xp and offer it freely in 300xp bursts to people in need.

It's not that hard really. One thing to keep in mind (I'm amazed at how many people don't know this) is that you can train any skill you know (other than novice), so if you are going for master medic, you do not need to stick to medic training.

1) Hang out in the med center and train people who need medical training (many people will go to the med center for medical training). I don't know how effective this is now that med centers tend to be empty.

2) Form a hunting group with newbies. Even a single newbie will work. Get them trained in all novice skills. Show them the ropes. They will pick up scouting and combat skills very quickly. If they are healing you in combat, they should pick up medical skills very quickly. You should be able to get 100 or so apprentice points off of a single newbie in an hour or two. Plus you've picked up some exp and meat at the same time so it's not a total waste to you.

3) Hire someone to train repeatedly. For example, find someone with novice medic and 2 free skill points. Give them Stim-Bs. You play the tumble monkey role while they heal you. Train them as necessary. If they don't want to keep the skill, have them surrender it immediately so they can re-earn it faster. Using this method, you can get 640 apprentice points very quickly.

4) Keep on the chat spatial and just watch for people asking for training. Go about your regular playing. This isn't real fast, but I do see people almost daily who need training in skills that I have. This takes no special effort other than to be at your keyboard.

A lot of people will ignore you if you shout your training offers. Just hang around thebusy med centers and starportsand wait for somebody who says they need training in something you have then very quickly /invite them. Don't bother trying to tell them you can train first cause somebody else will group them while you're typing.

And make sure you have your best title on. Probably one of the TKA's.

At what point does app points cap out at?
