Thread: BH in need of some advice...
eventually i will be a master bounty hunter, but right now i am planning where i need to put my remaining 33 points and my fellow BH are too busy running in circles and complaining about the knockdown nerf instead playing the game and i cannot find help there. my dilemma is this... 33 points do not go very far and regardless i will be buying meds and LOT of them since i am forcd to solo red marks who have upwards of combined 25000HAM stats at master levels. my plan right now is FA4 diag1 and organic1. i will rely on stimB that i buy. right now i have organic4 pharm3 and FA3 and only have the patience to grind another 10k med skill as i have 5k saved up.
soooo at FA4 organic1 diag1 will generic stim b heal decently in combat?? the speed at which i heal myself rightnow is a 5-6 sec delay which im happy with so points in diag dont mean much. so am i headed in the right direction and pick up FA4 and eventually drop pharm to 1 organic to 0 and diag up to 1??
Well, unless the B stims are heavly experimented on, your still looking at 200-300 H/A heals per shot, if thats what you consider good then go for it, but if your buying your meds you may find that the stats vary.
If I was in your situation, I would keep FA4, and drop Diag and Org, butwork up toPharmacology 4. That means that you can buy and use Stim C's which are far more effective at healing. The other skill trees are not required since you dont intend on making your own stims & diag only effects the time taken to stim other people.

with 33 points you can get fa3 and pharm3.
this will let you use low cost stim c's and all stim b's
diagnostics is a waste i wouldnt have trained it at all if i didnt need it for master medic.
the extra charges and bigger heals of the C packs mean alot less inventory space than stim a's or b's
you might want to find a 500 stack of good materials for stim 'a and a good crafting tool for those im in the middle of nowhere and start running low on better packs.
Just to give you another option, you may try First Aid III & Pharm III. Pharm III gets you medical use 30. Stim-C's can be experimented down to that level. Using them will gain you more healing-per-stim than having First Aid IV.
Diagnostics will be worthless for you if you're only healing yourself because it doesn't affect the rates of self-heals. Alternatively, you could go Pharm IV to make sure you can always use Stim-Cs and throw that last couple points in First Aid I, but that means you won't get to get the First Aid ability (stops bleeding) that comes at First Aid II.

Yeah, maybe when they fix ease of use on Stim C experimentation you may find a few 'med use <30' Stim C's floating around.
Yeah, maybe a balance of FA1 & Phar 4, or even drop FA all together, depending on how much you get per heal. Just mean that you wouldn't get that many health points per stim but personally, the difference between stim B's & C's is incredable, and like Random guy said, the extra shots per pack means alot let inventory space.
ive got that right now. pharm3 and FA3 but im not happy with getting too many low end heals on experimented stimC. if i go pharm4 or FA4 i will have 4 points left so default will be diag1& pharm1 or FA1. no sense letting 2 skill points sit idle.
i guess my choices are this:
pharm4 FA1 using all stimC
FA4 pharm1 using stimB
FA3 pharm3 and having to worry about finding stimC that are experimentedon.
the last choice is least desirable to me since it means going to many many houses and searching empty vendors. im leaning towards FA4 pharm1 but im curious as to how effective FA4 is with generic average stimB. i guess that is really what i am asking
actually its not all that hard to find stim c's that are ease of use experimented on. most full time medics/docs/CM's make thier own stuff so the people we sell stuff to on vendors or the bazaar are people like you. at least thats what ive noticed. check around your local vendors and you should see the same.
the stuff i make for myself on the other hand i dont care what the skill req is since i either have the skill to use or i throw it in the backpack till i get the next lvl of cm support.
Pharm 3 and FA 2 is what i recommend to all BHs that ask me...Pharm 3 is lower use Cs and proper ones (especially post patch) will give you near a full heal....
more FA is nice for bleeds but one in PvP, 75% damage reduction has complete destroyed bleeds...
In PvE against marks getting bled means u either one have to choose to FA and not heal or heal and just soak the bleed. Considering that with Stim Cs you will have no problem healing for more than the bleed is doing, its better to spend those mind points on a heal rather than a bleed...then use FA post combat...remember while using FA or stims on urself, u are gonna be capped at 10s between heals...in that time u will be shooting and specialing meaning u will be using action as well...so in combat heals is much more effective than FA...
Thats just my opinion tho...my BH friends/clients seem to love this set up
thanks for all the advice. it has given me things to think about. but the more i consider it the less appealing bleeding to death without FA2 is. so FA3 is a minimum. that means, for me, either pharm3 and hope to find good stimC or control my quality on stim B with organic chem3, or FA4 and hope stimB work ok with it. so that decides where my 10k med XP will go by deduction. ill pick FA4 tonite and test it with that on generic stimB and test FA3 withexperimented effectivinessstimB while still at FA3. because regardless i wont go pharm4.
