ive seen everywhere that jump to light speed is being release on the 27th october. well yes in the US only.
In the uk we have to wait until the 5th of november!!
so the US wil be able to pilot spacecraft and craft before anybody else, will the rest of us has to wait.
WELL THATS OK I GUESS.........................NOT!

One of the perks of being in the same country it was made.
But at least they are working to get you the game. It's been worse delays in the past.
It's cause ya'll paper wanted to kill our President so we put the 7 day delay on you ahhaha
payback is sweet (totally kidding justa joke).

Its not their fault you live somewhere that it takes almost a week to get the product to you. You dont think they are going to ship 10's of thousands of copies fed-ex international overnight do you?? it would cost more than the game just for shipping alone per piece.

I'm sure EU game companies supply you folks with games before they supply us with copies, it's just kinda how it works out.

Not a flame or anything but what you just said has nothing to do with why is UK'ers aren't getting the game on time. You might want to read some of the other threads.

It's called logistics son. You don't wait until the night before to ship a release unless you like bankruptcy.

The problem is they were able to ship it early in the states so that some players got it before the official release date from some stores. So there was no reason they coudn't do the same for us in Europe. If it is the case that Activision are the reason for the delay then they shouldn't be used again to distribute any game for SOE or anyone else for that matter if they decide to push one game over another and annoy a large buying public. As we have long memories Activision and i'm sure a few people heremight be inclined never to buy anything from you again.
If it's the other theory flying around that the demand in the states was so much the copies allocated to Europe got reallocated to the US players then SOE need to look long and hard at themselves and make sure, if this was the case, that they do not do it again. Next time making sure enough copies are made for sale to everyone and not just one market.
As to taking a week to get to us a plane from New York to the UK is roughly 6 hours or so, so say 6-12 hours flying time and a few hours unloading say a day. From there i would imagine 2-3 days from arrival to hit the shelves.

it takes less time to send a digital image electronically. CD's get made in europe and distributed in europe.

some of you people are forgetting what my message was say!
it's not fair that the US can play jtl before the rest of us.
what i mean by that is, they get to pilot the spacecraft and craft spaceships before the rest of us, giving them the upper hand in crafting- getting the best resouces-and space combat, and mybe space missions.
thats what im tring to say.it's not fair

you know what really does piss me off ?
well in order to master ANY pilot profession, you'll have to get into a PvP area, now PvP areas are quite empty or low level players play in there, so no biggie, US players can get their master box easy, so in about one week, most of em will be master pilot, specially the big powergrindazz u83r d00dzzz, and you know what will happen ?
around the 10/15th of november, european players will be at master pilot, stuck, cause the PvP area where ANYONE has to go to get the master box, will be crowded with Master Pilots with top notch, loot made level 10 spaceships, and they won't give a sh1t about us trying to get master pilot, they'll fire LOADS of missiles on us and mastery will remain an unreachable dream for european players.
guess what ? nobody cares, but there's about 10 days until I can get my JTL copy (like the fool I am I thought It'd be faster to get in in store instead of waiting for some company to send it to me from USA well...), paired with the forced PvP to master pilot (even neutral pilot will be forced to pvp, so don't come with your freakin GCW).
I did quite alot of things in that game, had LOADS of fun here and there, playing with buddies, I trusted when we got told about our smuggler revamp (noticed ? they were saying it would be related with JTL, then not a SINGLE word since JTL launched) and many other things, but hey, as any game, the fun is slowly going away, so after being in JTL beta, the fun came back, and I could even enjoy the ground game more cause I had a choice.
so basically, I called my retailer today, he had no news, so maybe I'll get my copy tomorrow (I highly doubt it tho), maybe I won't, plain and simple, I don't get it tomorrow (not blaming anyone here let's be clear), it means it's delayed, so if it's delayed, I'll have to wait til the 5th (and hope it doesn't get delayed again wich could happen), and see if the master box requirements change, then plain and simple, make me wait, then I'll simply close my 3 accounts until the master box is fixed, then -if I didn't move to another game- I might get JTL and play SWG again, otherwise, I wish you all alot of fun and I'll get myself out of here. It was alot of fun, JTL beta was alot of fun, but that was because I hoped that PvP requirements would get removed once it'd hit live servers.
