Thread: Petition to increase TIE Interceptor mass

50k Mass at level 3 is simply not enough. It would be wonderfull to see an increase of at least 25k so we could fitsomegood ship parts in these instead of being stuck with level 5 ones. If you agree please /sign, perhaps the DEV's will look at this thread and see this issue needs to be addressed, because I for one would love to fly this thing after tier 3!

I'm a reb pilot...and our lowest mass ship is the A-wing that has about 60k mass. I thought that was too little, but 50k...that ridiculous...I /sign this only if they increase by only about 25k like you said...that interceptor is really small.

Trying flying as a privateer. Our best light fighter only has 30K mass. I would kill for 50K. Be thankful.

I think 50k mass is pretty light, but remember TIE's were cheap and not that great. They used quantity over quality. Large numbers ofcheap ships to swarm the better-equiped, but more expensive Rebel fighters. But 50k mass is a little too light, if the A-Wing can be 65k mass

I agree the A-wing looks tiny compared to an intercepter with its giant wings and all =/ But maybe its made out of uber light materials =P

/sign The interceptors should have a bit higher mass...maybe all around 80k would make sense...after all my y-wing has a bloody 150k mass!!...just half that makes sense for an interceptor fighter!

the medium hutt fighter attier 1 is 60k but i dont knwo what to say about the ties, my alt is an imp pilot, it would be nice but.. like MajorRed said...
And if you want continuity.. TIE werent originally equiped with shields or hyperdrives lol.. so be happy the devs gave us that.

/sign , also up the the TIE Avanced mass too, lvl 8-9-10 equipment is supper heavy...

In most games, the A-wing and the interceptor were supposed to be complimentary. Would make sense if they had at least similar mass, with perhaps the T/I coming in less if it is more maneverable or something.

Normal NPC TIE's are the cheap ones, we are the "special" pilots that have the ability to customise our ships to our standards, so TIE Interceptors should have atleast 25k more... I think we need assault gunboats.

The level you are granted should not affect it. I get that particular fighter at tier 2. However, our tier 4 bomber only has 130K tops, while the y-wing, a tier 1 bomber, gets 160K or some crap. X-wing gets 100K at tier 3, whle our tier 3 medium fighter gets 80K. It's a ****ing joke really. People piss and moan over their a-wings only having 65K. Well guess what, the dunelizard *medium* fighter gets 70K. As of right now, nobody needs to be complaining but privateers, but I see hardly any people pointing out privateer issues.
Our best Light fighter: 30K
Our best Medium fighter: 80K
Our Best Bomber : 130K
If anyone got totally utterly screwed, it's us. And that's not even counting our worthless droid programs and special abilities. And the fact that we don't have a unique one seater at master.

Everyone should remember that mass is a direct relation to speed. When we were in beta, we rallied for mass to affect speed and maneuverability. The devs listened and made major changes to the flight engine and mass calculations. If you take a 50k Interceptor, it will easily outfly an 80k interceptor, and even better equipement won't help (it is a bit exponential). I was flying a Ywing LP with 30k mass (used up that is) and it was sluggish. I am wondering what it will be like with high level engines and weapons but 160k mass.
