Laser Convergence is a requirement if the Rebels are going to have any chance in space.
Most Imperial ships have closely mounted laser cannons on the front, where as most of the Alliances craft have opposite mounted laser cannons. If laser convergence is not implemented, then the Rebel pilots will be at not just a severe, but an unfair disadvantage. Laser convergence is implemented in XWA and must be in JTL for the game to be anywhere close to balanced.
That is all. Move along.

Yep and I can't tell on the vids if it is implemented or not. Maybe even make some adjustable. Oooohhhh...

Didn't only the X-Wing have this feature?
Or was it the A-Wing?
Or am I thinking of something else?

well at least the X and the B and most likely the A, though they may be pre-calibrated
The TIE Interceptor would need this as well, as well as the Advanced and assumably the Aggressor

I know that with the Interceptor, and the X-Wing its possible to calibrate what distance you want the convergence set to, as they talk about it in the books a fair few times, but its something that can only be done on the ground.

Oh yeah, I meant this to be for any ship whose lasers aren't paired right next to each other. Z-95, B-Wing, Interceptor, Advanced, I'm sure some Hutt ships will have this problem, even the freighters. The turrets could be linked forward and set to converge as well.

People who've played X-Wing Alliance will know what I'm talking about. A handful of ships in XWA, specifically the X-Wing, had a laser convergence system that would be used to set how far out your lasers would touch and pass through each other. I've noticed that if I ever get too close to an enemy in my X-Wing (so far its about 200m) my shots will go around the ship. In XWA, they could be set to .5 klicks, 1 klick, 1.5 klicks, or auto. Auto would adjust the lasers by itself so they would converge at the same distance the ship was at. Very very useful. I don't know if this is possible with the JTL engine, but having them atleast converge at 400m (which is close to max range from what I've seen) would help greatly.

I dont even think i've seen a dev post acknowledging this is a big issue. Please point me to one if im missing it. Xwing the game had laser convergence and it was a great feature. There are several ships being effected by this issue right now. Xwings and Kimogilas come to mind. i havent flown all of the ships so im sure there are others. in my opinion ,aside from lasers sometimes passingright through my targets, this is the biggest issue i can see. devsif u could at least gives us ur opinion on this issue and what u plan to do about it that would be great. thanks.

Apparently (I have not flown one myself, but this is what I read) the Firespray suffers from a similar fate. Though B-Wings may be hit the hardest by this. They already have a huge movement disadvantage comapred to other fighters (as they should, since they are a heavy bomber), but you could probably cram two TIEs inside their firing pattern and not hit either.
