Hell even the Dunelizard has problems, the second weapon point is better than the first one on that. If we could adjust them to our own tastes that would be great.

This has been brought up in beta. still no word ya/nay on this being fixed as far as i know.

really thats interesting. they didnt even comment on it in beta. why are they keeping us in the dark on this such an important issue?

Actually - even though the laser bolt appears to miss the target, I'm about 87.2835% sure (+- 1.7125%) that it DOES infact hit the target.....
I've tested this only a few times with my Kimo chasis, but maybe someone else could verify.
Disable a target. Move up REALY close - like within 10-15m or so, but not so close so that the nose of your ship touches your target. Switch to wing-guns, and fire a few shots.
You'll see that the bolts go right on by, but actually does damage to the target...

I noticed on my xwing, when i shot at 2 low lvl tie's in formation, the ones that take one shot to kill. I took out both of them with one shot. So I am not really sure, I thought all 4 or 6 shots were hit'n on the one target i was fireing on, have to check the amount of damage next time I go up in my X, am really in love with my A now, but I will check.

I *really* like this idea in some form. Probably best managed from a starship terminal--after all, this sounds like the kind of thing that you'd have to physically adjust at the hardpoint. I think it's got potential to add a lot to combat, and it keeps the whole "WWII dogfight" thing that Lucas had in his mind when envisioning the movies.
Convergence == good;
