On Chilastra I am witnessing a number of people coming back from WoW (the folks who left for EQII are stil gone too but growing numbers of them are getting the SOE All Access Pass and playing both now)
On average I see a lot more players running about than I did in the beginning of January, not massive number like pre-EQII.Wow but climbing.
Still see noobs with their lil green helpers walking around too, and thats always a good sign.

Yeah WoW took a toll on this game, but most ppl that play EQ2 dont even like this game. Just gonna have to wait to see after Combat Revamp what happens, which i believe it will breathe new life into this good game. The latest polls show that we still have a large number of ppl still active online

It's my understanding, from hanging around the EQ2 boards, that EQ2 hit SWG pretty hard, too. I'm strange, I went the other way. EQ2 first, then SWG.

See i like what this game could be, i played EQ2 from beta till the recent patch that i think ruined the game! EQ2 just isn't fun! All the zones kills it, no pvp andlack of solo content. Plus all the adventure packs and expansions you have topay for just****** me off!
WOW is fun i play that too, just it's too easy! Level 60's in 9 days of the game coming out in europe! All the server queues and how they could be releasing a new version to skip queues is :\
This game has everything to make it great, what killed it for me is:
- How you need money to do anything! People who have lots of money win :S Buy the best armor and buffs then you can level up pretty fast which i thinks unfair anda stupid way of doing things! I have no money, try to make money butother ppl take the business away from me
Jtls it's not based on skill but who has the most money can buy the better ship wins!
I really hope thats changed.
Also how the missions are boring and all the unbalance of combat and everyone leaving, it' empty now
Don't like how everyone has a jedi alt like :\
I came back hoping that these next updates will change all that
I doubt they will but
No other games that have what this game could have!
SOE ruins every game
Ruined:
SWG
PS (ruined baddddd from all the crappy content like Bfrs)
EQ
EQ2
:\ Wish they didn't get their hands on this game

This is the same for every MMORPG that I've played, if someone had an established character they could make an alt outquip him with uber items and level much faster. The problem with SWG is that it takes it to an extreme, no one should get a few buffs and armour then level an entire profession in a few hours.

I played WoW for about 2 weeks just to see what all the fuss was about. That's about how long it took lose interest. The big reason why I quit was the community. I can't tell you many times reading the chat that I was offended. It's diffenantly the kiddie pool atm.
I've had a few guildies come back cause of the resent changes, so it's looking up. Besides, neither of those games will ever match the emotional appeal of Star Wars.

That isn't true. There's only a one thing that you would HAVE to buy from a shipwright. And that would be the chassis. You can equipp your ship with all looted components and still do good. Can even make those looted components good with Reverse Engineering. Money doesn't buy you skill. And you can make money in space to. That is currently my source of income. I have one credit chip sitting in my bank account with over a mill.. and I almost have a second ready to stick in there. Plus selling all the looted components can make you some good money. But you can be dirt poor and still be good in JTL. There's vendors out there that sell used chassis's for cheap. So that's not a lot of spending.

LOL! I brought this game in november 2003 when it came out here, never used the forums tbh. But back then the servers had loadsa people on them! Since the game has seen most go
So must be doing sumthing wrong! I blame what i said above tbh
Main reason tho is the unbalance of pvp and how poor missions and how you level up.

I've seen a resurgence in people coming to SWG. My increase in sales proves it.

Tons of newbs too. God Mos Espa had a dozen of them right before server shutdown. People running around with survival knives still in hand looking for groups to kill tusken raiders. lol. At least the newbs are nice people while the asshats hightailed it to another game to exploit.

I am one of the people who went to EQ2 when it launched, then got a station access pass, played both, and now am back to playing SWG prmarily again. SWG is so much more of a true social game and more forgiving of different playstyles. Also, the merchant system is way better IMHO.
Playing alot more JTL now and loving it!
