Zan, my keyboard has 2 "Enter" keys. I know them well. But, I also saw no reason to use either. As opposed to some on the 'net that put 1 sentence,a blank line, then another sentence, another blank line, and so on. Point being, many people over use the "Return" or "Enter" key when they type.

(whoa! happy now, Zan?)

Expansions are all fine and dandy. But expanding a game before it's had game stopping problems removed isn't going to keep customers. I know of players that are leaving this game because of the problem that are seemingly ignored. Glitter, bells, and whistles are all fine and dandy, but what good are those if there's nothing substantial holding them all together? The JtL expansion was much needed in this game. Space is a huge part of the Star Wars universe. Sure, they had given us a shuttle system to go from planet to planet, but Star Wars involved space combat as often as, if not more often than, ground combat. Yes, they should expand the space system, in the future, to include places like the Hoth system and/or Dagobah. But, they really need to step back and fix the base code before they keep adding more clutter to it. The more you add to code, the harder it is to find the one typo or logic mistake that breaks things.

When I got my copy of JtL, I noticed it said on the top "Expansion One", so that got me to thinking what would future expansion's hold?

I'm just going the obvious route and saying more planets to explore, with more character classes, weapons, loots, dungeons, etc.

Maybe some Episode III locations....

My guess is more planets in the next expansion.

As long as there are players to fill up the servers I think we will see expansions.

But lately I have to wonder because, I've been jumping around to a lot of different servers lately and some feel like ghost towns even during primetimes.

WoW has put a big dent on this game.

Most of my Guild plays WoW now, and I have been hearing only great things about the game.

WoW did put a dent in things, but the worst problem this game has is the bugs that they never address. Bugs that get reported during beta tests are still in the game (both ground game and JtL). Minor bugs that still allow the game to be played can be tolerated, provided there is a public statement from the devlopers that they are aware of it and are working to fix those issues. However, game stopping bugs, something that prevents any chance of fair, consistent, and fun game play should take priority over any sort of new features. Sadly, as I've heard, SOE has never understood that simple philosophy. I do wonder how they make any money at times. Had I known the severity of problems with SWG and JtL, I never would have picked the game up. I had heard the game was good and that the problems were minor. The truth has surely come to light. Joysticks that don't work because they obviously don't use what I would call proper programming techniques. Syncronization issues that come and go, or come and stay for the real unlucky ones, indicate some sort of flaw in their speedcalibration methods. Game updates that break previously working system configurations suggests excessive shortcuts being taken by programmers, thus allowing for seemingly random crashes. And, my favorite at this time, saying the game only needs 512MB system RAM, yet on a system with 1GB RAM, this game uses about 1.5GB total (physical RAM and page/swapfile). Sloppy code, wasteful structure allocations, and possibly forgetting to release allocated memory when it's no longer needed all hurt a game's performance (especially on the average system). So, from all of that, I would say that WoW isn't the game killer some think it is. It's more likely that people ran to try it because they were tired of the bugs in this one.

Kyl, your keyboard has a carriage return...try it out sometime!

Of course, they plan on selling additional space expansions. I want to see additional released augmentations and content for the existing expansion before I would be ready to shell out more money.

To be honest, I have been playing for for exactly one year and I haven't been once in the Theed cantina.

Why should I ?!

I am from Correllia, my house is there and the weather is better than on Naboo.

Last time I looked into a cantina in Anchorhead and therenobodyin it (can't remember even a NPC).

I do not think, this means that the game is going downhill.

Space is full at the moment and I can see more and more structures and houses growing on the planets.

...And they surely would not hire some additional 20 persons to a game going downhill

Rumor has it that it's the GCW Expansion. TH said in an interview something about the "Galactic Civil War Expansion"... but if he meant a true expansion like JtL or simply that it's just being expanded, who knows. Don't doubt the Devs on making something as crucial as the GCW into an expansion pack so they can make a few extra bucks.

I'm hoping the next expansion will have a few planets. And atmospheric flight. And loads of other stuff that I'm too lazy to list right now...

I'm agreeing completely with Kylroi here.

Yes, expansions and new things are cool, but the Devs really need to forget about new things and concentrate on fixing old things. Thankfully, SOE and LucasArts just hired more staff for this game, so I am hoping for more productions on this area.

Bring on HOTH! Get the GWC patch out, and make Hoth one HUGE GWC planet. Have it one big battle field of NPCs and players. I think THAT would be cool.

Yeah, but most people don't want to read a huge block of text.

Back on topic. There will be as many expansions as they feel will make enough money to justify the development costs. While JTL was a great addition to the game, I hope the next expansion they do will promote more open ended play. There really isn't a whole lot to do in space once you hit Master Pilot, but then again that's a problem with the ground game as well...
