Thread: Components for Belbullad-22
First: if you think this ship has poor mass, you probably shouldn't be flying it. You should try flying a TIE advanced, A-wing, or a dunelizard for a while, and learn how to cram awesomeness into a small package.
Second: Pretty standard setup: L8 Engine, L8 shield, L8 cannon + (L5 or L6). Or two L7 cannons. For the rest of the components, cram in whatever fits.
My question is: Whats the best configuration for the blb-22?
tks
PS: Sorry for my english
Until I finish my RE8 engine, my RE6 is what I use. (EO4)
My RE6 capacitor may be overboard, but it works great for shield shunting. (CO4 + CTSS 4)
L7 crafted shield
dual L7 crafted quickshot guns. ion cannon for outer mount, blaster for center. Ion cannons won't work in the center. (WO3)
I snicker to myself everytime I hear someone complain that the B22 and Actis have poor mass and they couldn't possibly fit good stuff on it.
Face it folks, evenbeside comparable Rebel ships (the highly touted ships with so much mass you can fit everything in them including the kitchen sink), the B22 and Actis have an incredibly excessive mass to performance ratio.
Only two Rebel ships can realistically compare to them in speed and agility. The A-Wing, with only a single gun mount (and therefore half the firepower) has 25k less mass. The X-Wing, which is considerably larger and boasts one more gunmount than the B22 and Actis, is a scant 10k mass heavier. That's not even a level 7 crafted or looted gun, so the extra firepower is inconsequential, the ship is larger, and less maneuverable. True, the Y-Wing Longprobe and B-Wing are massive ships that can hold a lot of nice components (especially the Longprobe), but they're not exactly nimble fighters. Of all Rebel ships (probably of all ships of any faction, in fact), the only one with such a ridiculous amount of mass to performance is the Advanced X Wing.
So, to the original poster, please learn a thing or two about piloting before you bemoan the lack of mass on a B22. Just last night I stripped a newer pilot's B22 and installed all new components for him, top of the line, and came in 6k mass under weight, including armor plating. Posts like yours are flamebait of the highest order, with most of the elder pilots you're seeking advice from so thoroughly disgusted with the B22 and Actis that I'm suprised you haven't been burned in effagy in Theed on every server by now.
The starter of this just proves he is a noob whiner with no knowledge about the ships in game.
By the way anyone knows if they fixed the bugs with this ship. The last time I used this ship 3 months ago I had a problem with my guns. When I equipped my guns one of then was firing down instead of at the target. Anyone knows if they fixed this bug?

The Bel-22 has terrible mass?
BWAHAHAAAHAAHAAAAHAAA!
Please turn in your pilot's wings and go back to taking the bus.
Goddammit, that's the best joke I've read in ages. You've got mid-sized fighter mass with ultralight fighter performance. If you cannot put together enough crap in that monster to make it lethal, you REALLY have issues.Hell, I'm working on a stock X-Wing with only a few thousand more mass, and my only problem with it is the lacking chassis based performance and large hitbox.
I've humbled more than a few Bel and Actis pilots in an A-Wing who thought those POS's made'em something special in space.Been humbled by a few pilots who reallyare something special in the seat. But no one, and I mean no one, who has the slightest inkling of how to put together a performance starfighter has EVER whined about the "low" mass of the Bel-22 and Actis-2.
That, junior, is a new and disturbing level of utter patheticness.

1 gun and a MK5 engine > 2 guns and a MK4 engine.
